Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Burditt.
Hi Brittney, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a huge interest in all things beauty since the day YouTube makeup tutorials became a hot commodity. I also had a strong desire to be in the medical field for a large portion of my life which I think led me to the career I have today. I went through PA (physician associate) school where I was able to first assist in Plastic Surgery. I was not the biggest fan of the OR because I’m such a cold nature person but absolutely fell in love with making people feel better about themselves.
I graduated PA school in Oklahoma, took boards the following week, and packed my apartment up to move to Dallas for my first job as an aesthetic injector. I think the biggest challenge over the years was working for companies or people who had no medical background or degree so there was always a clash between business and medical ethics. After several years of working for others, I decided it was time to make my move and create “Calypso Aesthetic Lab.”
Calypso Aesthetic Lab has been fully operating since December 2021 and continues to grow by the minute. To say I am extremely blessed would be an understatement. If you told me several years ago, I’d be a successful business owner at this age, I would have never believed it!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not! There have been many, and I mean many, bumps along the way but honestly, I wouldn’t change a single thing. This industry is not for the faint of heart and I think it took me a little time to figure that out. Growing your book of business, staying consistent on social media, and figuring out your own injection style are a few of the many challenges anyone in this industry can expect to overcome, myself included.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was definitely a social butterfly. I was a cheerleader throughout high school and loved every second of it. I’ve always been a girly girl but also had my tom-boy hobbies too. I loved going off-roading on four-wheelers and coming back completely covered in mud just as much as I loved playing with makeup and getting dressed up.
