Hidden Gems: Meet Callie Miller of High Profile, Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Callie Miller.

Hi Callie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I joined High Profile almost 20 years ago as a recruiting coordinator, and honestly, I fell into the staffing world the way a lot of us do. A dear friend and colleague had landed at High Profile after we’d both been laid off from our previous company. She knew there was an opening, called me, and said, ‘You’d be perfect for this.’ At the time, I had zero exposure to recruiting or staffing, but I trusted her and took the leap.

I started as a contractor recruiting coordinator and over the years had the chance to grow through nearly every part of the business, recruiting across our administrative, accounting and finance, and HR divisions, and later moving into sales and marketing.

Today, I have the honor of serving as president of High Profile. What’s kept me here all these years is really simple. It is the people and the purpose. We get to do really important work, walking alongside people through transitions in their careers and showing up for them in moments that truly matter. We don’t just fill roles, we help change lives.

Outside of the work itself, my faith, my family, and the people around me have been a big part of how I’ve grown, especially in learning to listen and take feedback.

Our CEO and owner, Bronwyn Allen, our founder and former owner, Jock Stafford, and our incredibly tenured team have played a huge role in my growth. I’m here because of their leadership, mentorship, and the incredible team around me, and I’m deeply grateful to be part of this journey!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth, straight road, and that’s really part of what’s kept it interesting and fun. It’s been a journey full of learning, growth, and development, through recessions, the pandemic, and everything in between.

We’re in the people business, so there’s really never a dull moment. Every day brings something new, whether it’s learning about a role, an industry, a person, or what’s happening in the market.

Some of the biggest challenges have been navigating those bigger shifts, especially moving our entire team remote during the pandemic and then finding our new rhythm in a hybrid model. All of it has stretched us, but in good ways. It’s been an amazing ride and I’m really excited about what’s still ahead!

We’ve been impressed with High Profile, Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
High Profile is a Dallas-based staffing and recruiting firm that specializes in placing administrative support, accounting and finance, and HR professionals in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire roles.

Essentially, we are professional matchmakers! A lot of our work happens in moments of change, and we take that responsibility seriously, whether we’re supporting a leader who needs the right hire or someone who’s navigating a career transition.

We’ve chosen a high-touch, relationship-driven approach by design. We like knowing the people we work with and being consistent in how we show up.

One of the ways we hold ourselves to that is through what we call OLA service, which stands for One Level Above. For us, it means doing what we say we’re going to do, communicating clearly, and taking good care of both our clients and our candidates.

In an industry known for high turnover, what I’m most proud of is our consistency. The way our team, our clients, and the people we place talk about us reflects who we are, and our long-tenured team plays a big role in that.

What are your plans for the future?
When I think about the future of High Profile, I think about building on the strong foundation we’ve had in place for almost 40 years. The world of work keeps changing, and technology and AI are moving quickly, so we want to be thoughtful about how we grow and evolve while staying true to who we are.

I’m excited about finding ways to use new tools and ideas that help our team spend more time with people and less time on process. At the same time, we want to keep deepening our relationships with clients and candidates and showing up as trusted partners in their work and their careers.

For me personally, the next chapter is about continuing to learn. I’m curious about how we can lead better, listen better, and continue to be a place where people feel supported, challenged, and proud of the work they do.
