Hi candace@cbdiversifiedconsultingservices.com, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
At a young age, I knew my path was different. I saw the world through with a different lens. People focused on the negativity, while I always focus on positivity. My childhood consisted of me growing up in a house full of people at different stages in their lives. My grandmother never judged and became a mother figure to them. Her motto has always been to never let anyone go homeless, hungry, or helpless. I remember on Saturday mornings walking through the neighborhood giving out food plates and blankets. We would go and spend quality time with people right where they are. The way my grandmother took care and valued people lives in me today. We never had many material things but the one thing we had was love. Being loved and demonstrating love to others is priceless.
I learned at an early age what mattered most and be love for others. My childhood made me who and whose I am. I would not change anything.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has never been plowed or paved for me. I grew up in a low-income neighborhood and did not have access to examples of what I could be. I just knew there was more out there, and it was in my DNA to go find out and bring back for the generations to come.
I am a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, physical and mental abuse. I tried to take my own life three almost four times. The first time I was nine years old due to so much bullying, teasing, sexual abuse, and not fitting into what was expected of me. My verbal voice was buried in people pleasing and insecurities. I share this as a testimony of who God is. You are not your circumstances. You are who God says you are.

CB Diversified Consulting Services specializes in resume writing, interview preparation, job application assistance, coaching, mentorship, job placement, workforce solutions, consulting, professional stylist and networking opportunities. In addition, we offer collaborative other services with business partners. Our mission is to take care of a client from connection to completion.
