Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Bermudez.
Hi Carlos, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well I got into environmental consulting when I was 19 years old. I started working at a gas station in Lakewood in 2003. The owners sold the store around 2007, I believe. Owners brother had a job opening and I went and applied. I went through 2 weeks of training and applied for state my license. I’ve Been doing this ever since. Now almost 20 years later, I decided to get my LLC and start my own company. G.O.A.T. Environmental, LLC.
I must mention I’m a firm believer in God’s timing. In the last 6 months I got baptized, married my best friend and soul mate, and started my own company.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I did struggle with personal life choices. But all in all as far as work when I focused on work and career it was smooth. Especially after I quit drinking alcohol in May 2020. That was the Hardest thing I ever did.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
So my company offers environmental consulting services. We specialize in Asbestos surveys (which are required when you submit for a demo or renovation permit for a commercial building) mold assessments and protocols, indoor air quality testing(including VOC’s) and asbestos consulting for any project. We offer licensed and certified personnel and rapid turn around time for results and reports. I also do asbestos and mold training as well.
In Layman’s terms, I find hidden health hazards like asbestos and mold in buildings and help people fix them safely.

First and foremost I have to thank our Heavenly Father. Secondly my wife has been a tremendous support since I left the company I worked for. she is amazing and so strong, from mental support to emotional and has showed me how to become a better Christian all around. This has allowed me to focus on my career and my family.
