Hidden Gems: Meet Chantel Gardner of The West Wellness and massage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantel Gardner.

Hi Chantel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our story started with a shared passion for helping people feel their best. The past two years I was working in concierge medicine, and we kept hearing from patients how hard it was to manage all their wellness needs—primary care in one place, massage or bodywork somewhere else, and never enough time to coordinate it all.

At the same time, we had close connections with a fantastic massage therapy team who were hearing the same thing from their clients. So we started asking: What if we could bring everything together under one roof? What if we could create a space where high-quality medical care and expert therapeutic massage worked hand-in-hand?

That idea became The West Wellness and Massage—a one-stop destination for wellness and self-care, where clients can get everything from preventive health services, massage therapy, and aesthetic services in a single, convenient location. We built a team of people who genuinely love what they do and are committed to making self-care simple, personalized, and stress-free.

Today, we’re proud to offer a more connected, supportive experience for our clients—and we’re just getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not smooth—but in all the best ways!

When we first launched our concierge medicine company two years ago, IV therapy and preventative care were still relatively new concepts in the DFW area. That meant we had a big job ahead of us: educating our community that concierge medicine isn’t just for millionaires. We had to break down those misconceptions and show people that high-quality, personalized care could actually be accessible and affordable.

Then, during our rebrand and merger with our massage therapy partners, we entered a new phase of growth—exciting, but definitely not without challenges. One of the biggest has been physical—our building is currently getting a full exterior facelift. Like most construction projects, it’s been delayed for months, which hasn’t exactly made day-to-day operations easier. But even that has been a blessing in disguise.

Every bump in the road has taught us resilience. These challenges have helped us grow into stronger leaders and deepened the bond within our team. And, most importantly, they’ve helped us stay connected to our mission: making wellness easy, approachable, and empowering for everyone we serve.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The West Wellness and massage?
At The West Wellness and Massage, we’re a one-stop destination for personalized, high-quality self-care. Whether you visit us in person at The West (located in The Foundry District of Ft. Worth) or use our concierge services, our mission is to help you feel your absolute best—conveniently and comprehensively.

What truly sets us apart is our medical team. All of our Registered Nurses have ER experience and operate under the supervision of our MD. One of our co-owners, Lucy McLean, DNP, FNP, also provides expert care via telehealth, allowing our guests to get medical support without the clinic visit. This level of experience, safety, and convenience is something we’re extremely proud of.

On the massage side, we’ve simplified the experience. Guests choose the length of their session, and our licensed massage therapists customize the treatment based on individual needs—whether it’s deep relaxation, pain relief, or a specific medical focus like lymphatic drainage or prenatal care.

We’re also proud to offer advanced HydraFacial services delivered by highly trained aestheticians who specialize in analyzing skin needs and using medical-grade skincare to boost long-term results.

From the warm welcome at our front desk to the expert care in every service, we’re committed to creating a space where wellness is not only accessible—but tailored just for you.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is helping people feel their best self—whether it’s instant relief or simply seeing them walk away lighter and more at peace.

I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a nurse. In fact, it wasn’t even on my radar until my third year of college when my life took a complete 180. I truly believe God guided me into nursing—I was accepted into the program and earned my first 4.0. In that moment, I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.

After eight years in the emergency room, I found so much fulfillment in bringing immediate comfort to people during their toughest moments. Now, in concierge medicine, I have the privilege of treating people where they’re most comfortable—often in their own homes. And with all of our services now under one roof at The West, there’s nothing better than seeing our guests leave with those sleepy, relaxed smiles. That’s what fills my cup every single day.
