Today we’d like to introduce you to Chasity Jackson-Watkins.
Hi Chasity, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
One day my friend and I were talking in her home office. She’s a real estate agent in the DFW area and was looking for more exposure. Everyone that knows my friend knows she is a very busy woman. At the time, I was unclear about my career path. However, what she needed, I had a solution for it. So, I told her I would create posts, write captions, and respond to all of the comments on her business Facebook and Instagram accounts.
That one moment in 2021 has changed my life drastically. I would have never thought social media management would be my forever career. I am so happy to have found this space. I’m very passionate about helping others reach their full potential. I started with only a vision. I had no goals, no pricing plan, no strategy. I did not have anything in place. I was startled where I was, and things started to come together with the grace of God; good things take time and patience to build. Success doesn’t happen overnight. However, it can happen!!!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is hard work and dedication. It’s about committing yourself to your business and the vision you have for it. So, of course, the road has not been smooth; as with anything, there will be hiccups, bumps, twists, and turns. I think the best way to deal with struggles is to find solutions quickly. My advice is to don’t allow problems to deter you from the bigger picture. Sometimes when a problem comes along, we give up. Keep pressing forward.
