Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Rose. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Chelsea Rose grew up in a mid-size Oklahoma town 30 minutes away from “The City”. She was the top tea party hostess and started many a pretend business out of the barn. Her parents owned and operated a publishing company where she had her own office where she watched Princess Bride on repeat and often acted as if she was the boss.
Her family is the most important thing in her life. They taught her faith and fun are the pillars to a good life. Because of them, she seeks to make a person’s day better with every interaction.
Growing up, she had many, many hobbies ranging from theater and choir to varsity wrestling and newspaper. This variety of interest served as a base for the career she would embark on in later years.
Rose performed as the Dragon Mascot at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake many moons ago.
She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and later studied Public Policy, Campaigns, and Elections at the graduate level at Liberty University.
She currently serves as the President and CEO of the Colleyville Chamber of Commerce. Prior to this dream role, she was the Director of Community Engagement at Catholic Charities in Oklahoma City, Special Event Coordinator at GRACE in Grapevine, and was the Chief Wedding Producer and Owner of Chelsea Rose Weddings. Rose currently writes for Truth magazine.
Community building is the name of the game for Rose. She serves on the Board of Directors for Grapevine Colleyville Education Foundation, North Texas Chamber Executives, INTERLINK, and Northeast Leadership Forum. She serves on the Young Professionals Council for CASA of Tarrant County and Grapevine Colleyville Independent School District Excellence Committee. She volunteers in marketing for Serving Our Seniors, and as an event committee volunteer for Community Enrichment Center and GRACE Grapevine. She is a member of the Colleyville Rotary, Colleyville Women’s Club, and Colleyville Executive Organization.
Chelsea lives in North Richland Hills. She loves to travel and explore. She can make a friend under any condition and find the best coffee shop in every city.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have always been a joyful leader. That has sometimes been mistook as naivete as opposed to a strategic business decision. Being a younger woman in leadership has presented challenges in belief that I know what I am doing. My counter to those objections comes in the form of collaboration. If I am the smartest person in the room, I need to find a new room. I seek to know history and legacy and find a way to marry innovation and joy.
As you know, we’re big fans of Colleyville Chamber of Commerce. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Oh my goodness. I am NOTHING without the people around me. Steel and Angie Rose: My incredible parents who have never given me any impression that I couldn’t achieve whatever I wanted. Their support has always been key to my reaching for the stars.
Myrna Nelson: My maternal grandmother who is an absolute badass. An entire community refers to her as “Grandma” as if she was their actual grandmother. She would feed and house anyone that needed it on her Oklahoma farm. She has taught me the important recipe of resilience and moxy is key to gettin the work done.
Deseree, Destiny, Chantz Teddy, Keri, and Sierra Chaney: My siblings are incredible. They are all experts in their fields and some of the most hilarious humans you will ever encounter. Thank you for challenging me and supporting me.
Shonda Schaefer, Carolyn Sims, RaDonna Hessel, Mary Frazior, Jessi Pingel Riesenberg, Jane Kirby, Cathy Baker Doyle, Adrienne Lothery: These women have shaped my career. They believed in me; encouraged me; challenged me; laughed at me; and gave me every reason to push forward
Candace, Tamika, Ana, Lexi, Ronni: These POWERHOUSE women somehow let me be friends with them and it is the best blessing. They are community leaders and influences who support me and make me better.
The incredible Board of Directors and Staff Team (Hannah, Rachel, and Shayne!) at the Colleyville Chamber. We get to create environments for business leaders to get support and succeed!
I have the most amazing friends from childhood through college and beyond who cheer me on and slow me down when I need it. They are a critical piece to the puzzle.
