Hidden Gems: Meet Cheyenne Griffo of Locdnhealing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyenne Griffo.

Hi Cheyenne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Doing hair wasn’t always my passion, I kind of fell into it. What I have always loved is serving people, making them feel good, and keeping a smile on their face. That’s always been my thing, no matter what kind of work I was doing.

Back in 2016, I started doing hair and ended up going to cosmetology school. But life happened, and I stepped away from it for a while. When I moved to Texas, I picked it back up, just doing hair out of my apartment…nothing too crazy. But something in me started to shift.

Right before COVID hit, I felt like it was time to stop playing small and take that leap. My favorite quote, “faith over fear,” really carried me through that time.

In 2019, I got serious. I realized this was bigger than just styling hair….it was about helping people feel seen, cared for, and confident in who they are. That’s when Locdnhealing really started to come alive.

It’s not just a brand…it’s my heart, my hustle, and my way of pouring back into people.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been a blessing to say the least. Locdnhealing started to bloom in the midst of Covid-19. The road has been bumpy but I give all grace to God, I make sure to give back to my community & continue to pray.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was adventurous as a child. Loved to play outside with my friends & be close to nature. Once high school came I was a bit of a loner but I knew everybody. So I had a great group of friends & we would go to the beach often, ride around( I was the friend in the group w the car) & just enjoy life.
