Hi Cratina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a country girl from East Texas, a second-generation hairstylist who grew up in a salon. My mother owns a salon there, and that’s where my journey began, sweeping floors, watching women transform in the chair, and learning early that beauty is powerful, but ownership is life-changing.
I’ve been an entrepreneur my entire life. I’ve never worked a traditional 9-to-5 — I built my own lanes. What started behind the chair turned into more than 25 years in the beauty industry, producing hair shows, publishing magazines, coaching professionals, consulting salon owners, training hundreds of stylists, and becoming an author, all while learning how to turn creativity into cash flow.
Over time, I realized something important: talent alone doesn’t build wealth, strategy does. I watched incredibly gifted people work nonstop but still struggle financially. That’s what pushed me beyond beauty and into business development, financial education, and wealth strategy.
That evolution became C5E Business Solutions, LLC — a consulting and financial education firm designed to help entrepreneurs, families, and professionals move from survival mode to ownership and legacy. Today, C5E helps clients strengthen their income, protect their families, build assets, and create businesses that work even when they’re not trading time for money.
In 2023, I expanded into the financial services industry, where I now serve as a licensed life insurance and financial professional. I am now a Regional Leader, next step is Regional Vice President. I lead teams across six states, with more than 250 recruits and over 40 licensed agents, many of whom are actively working toward their investment licenses. We were also recognized with the “Future Jersey” in 2023, an honor that reflects leadership, growth, and momentum.
My mission has stayed the same no matter the industry: empower people to win.
That’s why our slogan is “Success Anyone” and “We Create Bosses.” I believe everyone deserves access to financial knowledge, ownership opportunities, and the ability to build a life on their own terms.
I started in beauty. I am mastering business. And now I help others do the same, with clarity, confidence, and strategy.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all and honestly, that’s what made it worth it.
Every stage of growth came with its own set of challenges: growing pains, people quitting, deals falling through, and hearing “no” far more times than “yes.” I’ve had to rebuild teams, pivot strategies, and learn how to lead through uncertainty more times than I can count. This was with each business.
When you’re building something from the ground up, especially as a woman and an entrepreneur, you don’t just face business obstacles, you face doubt, resistance, and sometimes isolation. But each challenge sharpened me. Every setback taught me how to move smarter, lead stronger, and stay grounded in my purpose.
I didn’t let rejection stop me, I used it as redirection. And that mindset is what kept me in the game long enough to build something real.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that consistency beats talent, and mindset beats circumstances.
I’ve seen incredibly gifted people quit too soon, and I’ve seen ordinary people build extraordinary lives simply because they refused to stop. Success isn’t about avoiding problems, it’s about learning how to move through them without losing your vision.
I’ve also learned that you can’t grow without people, and you can’t keep people without purpose. When you build with integrity, education, and genuine care, you don’t just create income, you create impact. And that’s what lasts.
