

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daneshia Williams.
Hi Daneshia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since a child, I’ve always had an eye for detail and creativity. I was always in some type of organization to where I could showcase my creative skills. From art to scrapbooking to yearbook club, I kept my creative mind at work. In 2014, I decorated my first event, which was my own “Red Carpet Baby Shower” and I went all the way out, lol. It was one to remember. From then on, I continued to decorate events. It was a hobby at first, so I was on and off with it for a while. Fast forward to 2019, I started back doing events… we’ll here and there. My parents, family and friends had always told me that I should pursue party planning/decorating full time. It wasn’t until Covid-19 hit the US and gave me that entrepreneurial push that made me go harder at it. Since then, I’ve gained lots of clientele, created my own website (www.SweetDreamzEvents.com) and now I’m advertising on all social media platforms. I’ve done birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, etc. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come with this business and in so little time. With the help of my supporters, I’m sure we’ll make it to the top. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With anything you take on or any career you pursue, there’s bound to be struggles along the way. Nothing is handed to you nor is it easy peasy. You have to get up and work your tail off to get to where you want to be. I started by putting all of my personal income into my business. After bills and kids, everything else went to buying linen, equipment, etc. I had to sacrifice like crazy. Sometimes I wouldn’t get any sleep, go without pampering and everything, to make sure I had what I need for my events. I also studied YouTube like it was a college class, lol. I still sacrifice till this day time, energy, rest, free time, etc. It’s all worth it because I can see Sweet Dreamz Events doing Blue Ivy’s Sweet 16 in the future.

Sweet Dreamz Events is an event planning and decorating company. We specialize is custom event decor, balloon art, custom treats, etc., for any and every event. We can plan your entire event from scratch while you sit back, kick up your feet and relax. We are known for our beautiful, extravagant event setups from our treat tables to our guest tables. We are different than any other company because not only do we overly exceed our client’s expectations, we do not use any vendors.
