Hidden Gems: Meet Daniela Wilson of Wilson Realty Team

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Wilson.

Hi Daniela , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey started when I came to the U.S. as an Au Pair, which eventually led to a four-year career as a nanny. Before that, I worked as a graphic designer for two digital marketing agencies in Panama and Colombia, which gave me a strong creative foundation and a love for storytelling and design.

After several years of nannying, I wanted a career that offered the same flexibility, and since my husband has been in the business for nine years as part of The Wilson Realty Team (a family-run team led by his parents) I was already familiar with the industry. Watching him work and seeing how much joy it brought him to help families find their dream home really inspired me. I thought, ‘Why not give it a try?’

Now, after a year and a half in real estate, I can say that while getting started wasn’t easy, I’m truly enjoying the journey. I love making connections, guiding people through such an important milestone, and helping them find the perfect place to call home

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all. The hardest part has been lead generation—something I had no idea how to do. Coming from a background in digital marketing as a graphic designer, I was used to working behind a computer, not putting myself out there and talking to people.

It’s very common for new agents to go months without making any income, and I was not the exception, I did not have income for 6 months. Real estate is all about building relationships and trust, which takes time. You have to consistently put in the effort before seeing results.

Getting leads, earning trust, and proving my value has been a challenge. Reaching out to people, often with no response, can be discouraging. Losing leads to those who see you as just someone who showed them a listing, rather than valuing your service, is tough.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am part of The Wilson Realty Team, a family-owned and operated real estate team established 19 years ago. We take great pride in the relationships we’ve built, many of our clients have become close friends and even like family to us.

Our team has five active agents, each specializing in different areas of residential real estate. My husband and I focus on first-time home buyers, resale homes, investment properties, and leases, while other team members handle listings, land, and more.

What sets us apart is our personalized approach and commitment to educating our clients. We guide them through every step, ensuring they understand the process and feel confident in their decisions. For us, real estate isn’t just about closing deals; it’s about building lasting relationships and helping people find a place to call home

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’m bilingual -fluent in Spanish- and I’m passionate about supporting the Hispanic community throughout the home buying process. It’s so rewarding to help families feel informed, confident, and empowered every step of the way.

Outside of real estate, I’m also a Pilates instructor! I love staying active, and teaching brings me so much joy. Sometimes I joke that I feel like a Latina Barbie, balancing different careers and doing what I love in each one.
