Hi Danny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have worked as an audiovisual technician for over ten years. During the pandemic working from home, I had the opportunity to start my own business, Rather Mount Services.
July 2020 changed my life; as my co-workers were being laid off, I knew I couldn’t remain comfortable in my situation and had to prepare to continue providing for my family. I have a skill that I was able to utilize during the pandemic while being safe. While at home, families started purchasing smarter TV’s adding cameras and additional audiovisual installations. That was the birth of Rather Mount Services, and I used social media as my platform to build my clientele.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. December 2020, I was laid off, and Rather Mount Services became my full-time employment. There are struggles in becoming an entrepreneur. Learning to network, market, and strategic planning to continue on-going customers with TV installations.

We are known for TV mounting but provided additional services doorbells, soundbars, speaker installation, and build audiovisual conference rooms.
