Hi Daymond, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Coach Daymond, and back in 2013, I founded Perimeter Zen — my private event loft right in the heart of the Dallas Design District.
The idea came from experience. I worked heavily in the nonprofit sector, and one of my biggest challenges was always finding the right space. We needed somewhere affordable, intimate, and with the right ambience to host fundraising activities — but those spaces just didn’t exist. I saw the gap and knew immediately this was a niche business that would be successful.
When we opened our doors, I quickly learned something powerful: Perimeter Zen would thrive not just on professional gatherings, but on celebration energy. People came to us for milestone birthdays, proposal parties, branding launches, cocktail socials, baby showers, and more.
Now, 12 years later, Perimeter Zen is still going strong — still offering that perfect mix of intimacy, style, and functionality for people who want their moment to feel special. What started as a solution for nonprofit fundraisers became a hub for life’s most meaningful moments — and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Over the last 12 years, I’ve had my share of challenges running this venue — but my background in corporate America prepared me to overcome them quickly. I learned to plan well and always create multiple options to choose from when solving problems. That mindset has been a game-changer.
Running Perimeter Zen turned me into a marketing expert. I became intentional about getting the word out about my venue, managing and promoting my own website, and connecting with clients both inside my own spheres of influence and online. I even learned to leverage my space to market other business activities happening within my corporation — a smart move that kept everything aligned under one roof.
Most importantly, I choose to keep a positive mindset. I see every challenge as an opportunity to get better at what I do. Like any venue owner, I experience high seasons and low seasons. High season is my time to go all in — to book as many events as possible. Low season is when I double down on marketing, relationship building, and strategy. The rhythm keeps everything in balance, and it keeps me focused on growth year after year.
Perimeter Zen is more than just a venue — it’s a living example of what happens when you combine vision, strategy, and persistence.

I’ve spent over a decade building spaces, systems, and strategies that unlock potential. Now, I’m taking that experience and focusing it on empowering small business owners and entrepreneurs.
My goal is simple but powerful: to provide business development consulting and creative services that help everyday entrepreneurs achieve levels of success they once thought were unimaginable. I want to see small business owners rise above their limits, break through their fears, and finally see the kind of growth and freedom they’ve been dreaming about.
I believe every person has a spark — and with the right strategy, the right mindset, and the right tools, that spark can light up an entire industry. That’s the work I live for. That’s the future I’m building with Daymond & Co.
