Today we’d like to introduce you to Dewi Nurdin.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It started during the pandemic when everything was shut down. During those times, it gave me much perspective to rethink about my life goals. What I really wanted to accomplish was to own my own restaurant, and it had always been a lifelong dream of mine. So, I partnered with my long-time best friend to open a Korean Fusion restaurant. Both of us love Korean food, and we believe in a fast-casual concept. We both put together menus, picked the best ingredients for the food, found the perfect restaurant location, and opened it together in Mansfield at the end of February in 2021. We launched our menu, tested our market, and made adjustments to what our customers like, which we do till this day. We’re now coming up on 2 years of business and feel so lucky that our community has been supportive of us being here. Our commitment is to provide the freshest ingredients, best quality, and affordability to our customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, in the beginning, introducing the community to our concept that we have has been a bit of a challenge, but our customers have really given us a lot of feedback which we have used to grow as a business. There were times that we weren’t sure that our items would catch people’s eyes, and yet we received so much support that we couldn’t be more happy. We’ve had our ups and downs, but overall, Mansfield has accepted us with open arms, and we’re so grateful to be here.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We’re a Korean-inspired restaurant that specializes in a customizable bibimbap-style bowl.
We serve our bases as japchae noodle, purple rice, or mixed salad. Then you’re able to choose from one our Korean grilled proteins which are: beef bulgogi, soy glazed chicken, spicy pork, spicy chicken, beef short ribs (Kalbi), grilled pork belly, or soy meat substitute. From there, you can choose 5 toppings to add to your bowl, which includes staple Korean sides such as kimchi, cucumber salad, daikon radish, pickled cabbage, seaweed salad, and more. Lastly, you get to choose from our selection of sauces which includes gochujang bibimbap, doenjang bibimbap, yum yum sauce, spicy mayo, ponzu, sriracha, as well as peanut sauce. You also have the choice of adding an egg to tie it all together.
We offer starters and sides such as Chicken Mandu (dumplings), Seaweed Rolls, and more.
Our most popular items are our Specials which include Little Seoul Kimchi Fries, Army Stew (Budae Jigae), Dukbokki (Tteokbokki), Little Seoul Hot Dog, and Loaded Nachos.

The market for Korean food in the Mansfield area is slim in comparison to other cities in Texas; we believe in bringing a taste of Korean cuisine to the Mansfield community in a way that is familiar but also unique. We hope to inspire you to try cuisine that is new and to step outside of your comfort zone!
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We appreciate all of the love we have received in these past two years. We aim to share our love of Korean cuisine to the Mansfield community, and we hope that you will continue to show your support for small businesses like us! We’re so excited to continue our journey, and we’re committed to giving our customers the best service possible!
