Hidden Gems: Meet Diana Bandoh of The Glow Up Guru – High Performance Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Bandoh.

Hi Diana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story didn’t begin with clarity—it began with contrast.

I grew up on the East Coast and moved to Texas in high school, right after my parents’ divorce. My dad moved to Africa, and my mom—now facing single motherhood—took a consulting job for Frito Lay that brought us to DFW. I always thought I’d return East, but I never did.

Instead, I put down roots.

I studied at UT Dallas, then SMU Law, and started what I thought would be a lifelong career in the Legal Department at Goldman Sachs. But almost five years in, I was exhausted. On paper, I was successful. Internally, I felt empty.

I wasn’t just burned out—I was disconnected from who I was before the world told me who to become.

The turning point came on a trip to Bali. I designed a few pieces of jewelry on a whim and launched a line. That creative spark hit something deep—something I hadn’t felt since I stopped dancing at 23. I’d trained for years to be a professional ballerina. It was my first love. After I let it go, nothing ever filled that space.

Until the jewelry. Until that trip. Until I remembered what it felt like to be me.

My first year of sales in that business was higher than my starting salary at Goldman—a reminder of both how undervalued I’d been and how powerful I could be when I bet on myself. So I walked away from Wall Street to follow what lit me up.

Then came the pandemic. And like so many others, I had no idea what would come next.

But even in the chaos, one thing became clear—my phone never stopped ringing. People kept coming to me for clarity, strategy, and emotional support. And eventually, they started paying me for it—even when I tried to say no.

That’s how I became a coach. A nervous system expert. A spiritual teacher. A woman who helps others remember who they were before they forgot.

The very work I now teach—especially the Future Self Protocol—was born from this journey.

Because what I’ve learned is this:
You don’t become your future self by working harder.
You become her by remembering who you’ve always been—and finally acting like it.

If you’re ready to create the kind of internal clarity that makes external decisions obvious, start there.

Your future self already knows what to do.
My job is to help you trust her voice again.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the biggest challenges on my journey have been internal—starting with imposter syndrome.

Even with years of receipts and results, I’ve wrestled with being okay with some people seeing my gifts while others don’t. I’m at a point now where I genuinely don’t know anyone else who has studied as wide a range of personal development disciplines—across both Eastern and Western philosophies—and woven them into a unified system the way I have. And yet… there are still moments when I catch myself thinking, Who am I to call myself a coach?

Another challenge early on was that I knew nothing about sales or marketing when I started. Trying to explain what I do was difficult, especially since I’ve been doing it intuitively my whole life. And when intuition is a big part of your work, finding the right words to describe it can feel nearly impossible.

That’s exactly why I launched a copywriting business—for people like the version of me who had the expertise but no idea how to explain it. I now help coaches, creatives, and founders create magnetic messaging using a mix of intuitive clarity and smart AI tools that make your words sound like you—only clearer, bolder, and more persuasive.

And because the same skills that drive sales can also help you get seen by the right people, I also offer dating and professional bios. Because whether you’re calling in the right clients, career, or connection—how you describe yourself determines who finds you.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business exists at the intersection of power and softness—where ambition meets embodiment. I am a nervous system expert, attorney, multi-certified life coach, and copywriter for high-performing women who are ready to shed outdated identities and step into their next level of leadership, love, and legacy.

I specialize in helping women who’ve achieved external success but secretly feel exhausted, unseen, or stuck. My work is rooted in helping them regulate their nervous systems, reconnect with their intuition, and reclaim the identity that success made them forget. I do this through a blend of mindset coaching, trauma-informed tools, spiritual wisdom, and compelling language that speaks to both the soul and strategy.

What sets me apart is the breadth and depth of my training—I’ve studied everything from Eastern philosophy and somatics to sales psychology and storytelling—and my ability to synthesize it into practical, transformative frameworks. Whether I’m coaching clients through a major life transition, helping them rebrand with words that finally feel true, or guiding them into healing their relationship with love, money, or self-worth—I bring clarity and compassion that cuts through noise.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of creating The Future Self Protocol, a guided visualization designed to help you finally access a sense of peace and possibility about their next chapter. I’m also deeply proud of the Unforgettable Woman Formula and my Magnetic Match bio service—signature offers that reframe the dating process and help women attract aligned partners without self-abandoning.

I want readers to know: you don’t need another plan. You need a new internal operating system. And that’s what I help you build—one rooted in self-trust, embodiment, and identity-level transformation.

Whether you’re here to attract love, evolve your leadership, or write the kind of words that stop the scroll and start the shift—I help you do it from the inside out.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is helping powerful women come home to themselves. I work with women who are already successful on paper—but deep down, they’re tired. Not just from doing too much, but from feeling like they have to hide the parts of themselves that crave softness, rest, intimacy, and self-expression.

I know that story because I lived it. I was the high-achieving woman who looked confident to everyone else, but inside I felt overworked, disconnected, and stuck in cycles of burnout that I couldn’t explain. What changed everything for me wasn’t just mindset work—it was nervous system work. It was learning how to trust myself again and lead from truth, not trauma.

That’s the core of what I do. Whether I’m coaching, speaking, writing, or creating copy—I’m helping powerful women like you remember that you don’t have to choose between softness and strength. You get to have both. You get to lead, love, and live from wholeness.

Even the jewelry I design and sell at dianabandoh.com is part of that mission. Every piece is created to be a wearable affirmation—a reminder that you are sacred, seen, and supported. That your beauty isn’t just in how you look, it’s in how you feel when you’re fully expressed.

At the heart of everything I do—whether it’s helping you rewrite your dating profile, your website, your mindset, or your story—is the belief that when a woman truly trusts herself, she becomes unstoppable.

That’s what I want for every woman I work with.
Not just results—but real, lasting, embodied freedom.
