Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Shah Khan.
Hi Dr. Shah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Ever since childhood, I always knew that I wanted to be a doctor. The idea of helping people always appealed to me and I knew that with healthcare in this country the way that it was and still is, there had to be a better answer than modern medicine.
I was always interested in the human brain. it fascinated me since childhood that an organ so relatively small could be in charge of the whole human body and everything it did on a daily basis, that fascination lead me to study behavioral neuroscience in my Undergraduate studies at University of Texas at Dallas, followed by Graduate studies at Parker University for my Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Once I discovered neurologically-based chiropractic, I knew I had stumbled across one of the best-kept healthcare secrets out there, so I made it my life’s mission to not only take care of people but inspire people to a better standard of health and life. That is actually where the name of our practice Inspire Chiropractic actually comes from because I wanted to Inspire people to help and heal our community.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Oh of course not! Nothing worth doing in life comes to us easy. There is the obvious student struggles, the course load, the extra hours of training outside of school to become the best diagnostician, adjusters, and doctors as possible. But starting my own practice by far was the biggest project I had undertaken.
I would say the biggest challenge was being able to set up a premium experience for all of our practice members, yet keep our costs down. As someone who themselves come from humble beginnings, I did not want inspire chiropractic to become an exclusive experience. we pride ourselves in the highest quality of care and facility and still keep our cost affordable.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
People can attest that no two chiropractors are the same, and at Inspire Chiropractic we pride ourselves in our focus on neurologically-based chiropractic care. With the state-of-the-art technology that we utilize in our office daily, we are able to get to the root cause of people’s health problem and allow their body to heal. We use a technique in our office called Torque Release Technique which is a very gentle technique of chiropractic, with no twisting or popping that people may have seen on YouTube or TikTok channels.
What is also great about our office is that I am actually also the licensed instructor for Torque Release Technique. This means that not only do we provide our practice members with the most highly researched technique of chiropractic, but I am also able to teach other chiropractors how to do chiropractic. This probably explains why we have a rotation of 5-7 interns through our office at all times.
I think the biggest takeaway I want people to have is honestly to just look at our reviews. through neurologically based care, we have been able to help people beat problems which they were told there was no resolution for. So, before you give up on your health, come give us a shot.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
“You will never know if you did too much, but you will for sure know if you did not do enough.”
When it comes to networking or any business aspect, always do more. it’s better to come back and figure out what worked and what did not, but I’d advise specially in beginning of your business to do as much as possible. as much networking as possible.
As a serial networker here is my best advice; don’t sell to the person in front of you. Sell it to the people they may know, so turn the person in front of you into a sales man for you.
