Hidden Gems: Meet Emilee Garcia of Market House Co. LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emilee Garcia.

Hi Emilee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I first had the idea of owning my own business years ago when I wasn’t quite sure what direction I wanted to take with my business degree. What I did know was that one day, I wanted to be my own boss.
When I was given the opportunity to become the Marketing Director at a local childcare center, The Academy, everything clicked. I completely fell in love with small business marketing — the community events, setting up booths around town, networking with other business owners, finding creative ways to collaborate. With every event, newsletter, and campaign I built, my passion for marketing grew stronger. Around the same time, I also expanded into multifamily marketing, leading branding and resident engagement initiatives, which deepened my love for experience-driven strategy.
Then one day, a dear friend said to me, “Why don’t you start your own marketing agency?” And just like that, it made perfect sense. I could build something of my own, get paid to do what I love, and create meaningful impact for other small businesses. That’s how Market House Co. was born — and I’m incredibly proud of every step that led me here.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been both smooth and stretching in different ways. Creatively, it feels very natural to me. I love curating a business I’m proud of — developing brands, designing campaigns, building experiences, and bringing ideas to life. That part has always felt aligned.
The more challenging side has been the actual “business of the business.” Contracts, pricing structures, finances, operations — those pieces don’t come as instinctively as the creative work does. If I could spend all day just designing and strategizing, I absolutely would. But I’ve learned that building something sustainable requires discipline beyond the creative side.
That said, those challenges have helped me grow the most. Stepping into the operational side has strengthened my confidence as a business owner and pushed me to develop skills I wouldn’t have otherwise. It hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Market House Co. LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Market House Co. is a boutique marketing agency focused on helping small businesses build intentional, cohesive brands. I specialize in brand development, event strategy, content creation, and marketing systems that support long-term growth. My work blends creativity with structure — because beautiful branding only works when there’s strategy behind it.
I’m especially known for experience-driven marketing. Whether it’s launching a new business, executing a community event, building a social media presence, or refining brand messaging, I approach every project with the goal of creating connection. I believe marketing should feel personal, elevated, and aligned — not forced or transactional.
What sets Market House Co. apart is the hands-on partnership I provide. I don’t just deliver a logo or a content calendar — I become a strategic extension of the businesses I work with. I understand firsthand what it’s like to build something from the ground up, so I bring both empathy and accountability to every client relationship.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the clarity and confidence my clients gain. When a business owner starts showing up more boldly because their brand finally feels aligned, that’s the win. Market House Co. exists to help businesses feel established, intentional, and ready for their next level.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I would say the quality that has contributed most to my success is being genuinely personable. I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, and more importantly, I truly enjoy connecting with people. In marketing, relationships are everything. Word of mouth, partnerships, referrals, etc. They all stem from trust.
Because I value real connection, I don’t approach networking as a transaction. Whether I’m at a community event, meeting a potential client, or collaborating with another business owner, I focus on building authentic relationships first. That has naturally led to opportunities, growth, and long-term partnerships.
At the end of the day, people don’t just invest in services, they invest in people. I believe my ability to connect, listen, and build trust has been one of the most important foundations of my success.
