Today we’d like to introduce you to Florence and Tite Urevbu.
Florence and Tite, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Our business started in 2016 with fashion bags, accessories and a few African dresses. As the business grew the request for African outfits and accessibility to good quality African clothing increased. That demand created our specialty or what you must call a niche. Growing up, my pastor always said, you dress the way you want to be addressed. This contributed to the interest in fashion and desire to dress up. I love dressing good and have a natural fashion sense. Like every business we started off very slow. I had to work to pay rent and had no wages for a while. But because I believed in the trend and the beauty of African fashion, we kept on working on it.
We’ve been impressed with Yoma Fashion Boutique, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business motto is making African fashion accessible to all nationalities. African fashion is not limited to blacks and Africans only, regardless of size or shape African fashion is flattering to all body types. Yoma Fashion is a family-owned business growing into a big organization. We specialize in men senator suits, Agbada’s, casual shirts, and men’s accessories. As for the women we carry formal gowns, short and long dresses, beads and statement jewelry pieces among blouses for all occasions.
What sets us apart for other African stores is our unique design and variety of the latest trending styles for both men and women. We are most proud or the customer satisfaction expressed to us both online and in person when they walk into our store.
We want the reader to know that our clothes are made with quality fabric, and made in Africa by women who are so blessed by the business opportunity we have given them. And as a missionary this means a lot to us as a company. So, supporting this brand is also supporting orphans we have adopted as a company in Nigerian.
Any big plans?
We look forward to great expansion and making African Fashion more accessible and normal everyday wear, and not relegated to black history month in February.
