Today we’d like to introduce you to Jabri Henry.
Hi Jabri, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
GreenList Services LLC really started with my dad, Derrick Henry. Before launching the company, he spent several years in property preservation. While working, he noticed commercial landscaping trucks/crews maintaining highways and public spaces, which inspired him to learn more about the industry. Originally his plan was to start the business with a friend, but those plans fell through.
At the time I was a junior in college, and I told him that once I graduated, I’d join him in the building the business. We kept that promise and officially launched GreenList Services LLC in 2019. In the spring of 2020, we earned our first subcontract through our Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification, which opened the door to commercial work. Since then, we’ve built relationships with organizations like DART and the City of Arlington while continuing to expand our network with municipalities across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
As the industry has evolved, we’ve had to adapt and find new ways to compete, but our focus has remained the same: delivering quality work, building lasting relationships, and continuing to grow GreenList Services one opportunity at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that you’re only as strong as your team. Commercial landscaping is demanding work, and finding dependable people who take pride in what they do has been one of the biggest challenges.
As the industry and procurement policies have evolved, winning work has become more competitive, which has pushed us to adapt and build strong relationships. Every challenge has made us better, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.

We specialize in commercial landscape maintenance, right-of-way mowing, debris removal, and municipal contracts. What sets us apart is our commitment to reliability, communication, and quality work. We’re proud to have built relationships with organizations like DART and the City of Arlington, and we’re focused on expanding those partnerships while continuing to deliver dependable service our clients can count on.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes us happy is building something meaningful together as a family. Creating a business that provides freedom, creates opportunities, and allows us to pass something down to future generations is what drives us every day.
