Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Weiss.
Hi Jordan , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was working at one of Dallas’s top restaurants when COVID hit, and after five years of loyal service, we all got an email saying that all hourly employees were laid off effective immediately. At first, I thought it was just going to be a two-week break to “flatten the curve,” but those two weeks turned into months. We started doing family-style to-go meals just to keep things moving, and eventually people started asking, “Hey, can you come set this up for us?” That’s how we eased into catering. What started as small setups grew into full weddings and banquets, and that’s really how this whole journey got started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There’ve been plenty of long nights, early mornings, contract hiccups, and lessons we had to learn the hard way. A lot of it has just been figuring things out on the fly, adapting, adjusting, and somehow making it all work. But at the end of the day, we always seem to land on our feet and come out stronger.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in weddings and corporate events, and we have built our reputation on being the easy to work with caterers. Planning catering can feel overwhelming, but we have made it simple. I can walk a couple through their entire wedding catering plan in less than 30 minutes. We have created streamlined packages, templates, and frameworks that take all the stress and guesswork out of the process. What I am most proud of is how we have turned something that is usually complicated and time-consuming into a smooth, straightforward experience. And it is not just us saying that. Our nearly 300 five star reviews across all platforms speak to the fact that we really do deliver on making things easy, stress free, and enjoyable. At the end of the day, it is about more than great food. It is about giving people peace of mind.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people would be surprised to know that I have worked closely with Alex Hormozi’s team at Acquisition.com to refine and streamline how we run the business. That experience helped me create offerings and processes that not only make things smoother for our customers but also improve life for our employees and, by extension, their families too.
