Hidden Gems: Meet Kelly Hardy Brenda Bridgforth of Ellevate Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Hardy Brenda Bridgforth.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The medspa world has grown rapidly and with that growth has come increased competition. We’ve seen a rise in practices opening on nearly every corner, and unfortunately, some providers rely on drastically discounted pricing to attract patients. Early on, we made a conscious decision not to follow that path. Instead, we’ve stayed laser-focused on what matters most: patient safety, strong relationships, and trust.

Rather than chasing volume, we’ve chosen to reinvest in our education – through hands-on training, cadaver labs, peer learning, and conferences. Continuing education is not optional for us; it’s foundational. A safe, ethical injector is one who never stops learning and who fully understands anatomy, complication management, and the artistry behind natural-looking results.

We also believe that price shopping in aesthetics can be dangerous. We understand people want value for their investment, but when it comes to your face, expertise should never be comprised. As we like to say – there are cooks, and there are chefs. A well-trained injector knows how to approach each face with skill, precision, and a deep understanding of both beauty and safety.

In our trainings, we emphasize not just technique but also the business side of aesthetics – including ownership, compliance, and staying aligned with Texas Medical Board regulations. We’re committed to raising the standard across the industry.

Finally, we’ve built trusted referral relationships with board-certified plastic surgeons and dermatologists, because we know the best patient care sometimes means referring out. Our priority is – and will always be – doing what’s right for the patient.

As you know, we’re big fans of Ellevate Aesthetics. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We have known each other since 2008, and from the beginning, there was an instant connection. Working together has been one of the greatest blessings in both our careers – we challenge each other, we support one another, and we share the same passion for patient care, education and ethical aesthetic practice.

Kelly Hardy, BSN, RN is currently completing her clinical toward her Nurse Practitioner license. As a certified Master Medical Aesthetic Injector, Kelly is known for her honesty, deep clinical knowledge, and commitment to natural-looking results. Her approach has set a high standard in aesthetic medicine, where artistry and ethics go hand in hand.

Brenda Bridgforth, CLT, LSO, is a Senor Laser Technician and certified Master Medical Aesthetic Injector with an exceptional ability to combine the precision of medical-grade technology with a conservative, results-driven approach. She’s deeply respected for prioritizing patient safety and helping clients achieve a refreshed, authentic look.

Together, we embrace both the science and art of aesthetic medicine. While we’re passionate about the latest non-invasive procedures – from laser treatments and injectables to micro needling and chemical peels – we never lose sight of the fact that each comes with inherent risks. That’s why safety, advanced training, and clinical excellence are always at the forefront of our practice.

What drives us most is the connection with our patients. We love building trust through honest consultations and personalized care, so we can help individuals enhance their own natural beauty – not mask it. Our mission is the Ellevate confidence, empowering every patient to feel like their very best version of themselves.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
One of the things we’ve found most valuable is intentionally creating spaces that are both educational and welcoming. That’s why our trainings are kept intentionally small – so everyone feels seen, heard, and able to get their questions answered. We want learners to feel safe asking questions, making mistakes and truly growing – that is how meaningful mentorship begins. Knowing facial anatomy is critical as a safe medical injector. Knowing the adverse events that can happen as an injector (like vascular occlusion/compression) and being confident and calm to know what to do during these times is part of our training. People can feel unsafe to ask questions – not in our trainings – we encourage it!

Beyond clinical skills, we also support providers with business principles, ownership guidance, and TMB compliance counsel. It’s important to us that the people we train not only deliver excellent care but also are able to build strong, sustainable and ethical practices.

When it comes to finding a mentor, look for someone who not only has the experience you respect but also the heart to invest in others. The best mentors lead with empathy, not ego – they remember what it’s like to be new.
As for networking, the most rewarding connections have come through real relationships – not just business cards. Show up, stay curious, be kind, and share what you know. We feel the more we pour into others, the more naturally your network grows in return.
