Hidden Gems: Meet Kenneth Williams of Genesis Business Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Williams.

Hi Kenneth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I spent decades running from the call, hiding behind drums, businesses, and busywork. In 2016, my family and I hit rock bottom: I was broke, sick, and nearly done. I cried out to God, “There has to be more than this.” That night changed everything. What followed was confirmation after confirmation. I was called to lead, build, and restore. Today, I pastor one of the greatest church’s, in my opinion, Church Of The Redeemed, lead multiple purpose-driven companies, and help people rebuild what life tried to break. I failed forward, got refined in the fire, and now I teach others how to obey God’s voice, not culture’s noise. The oil came from crushing. The favor came from staying faithful. Don’t waste your waiting. God’s still writing

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. The road was jagged with lessons I didn’t ask for but desperately needed. There were seasons where clarity was scarce and pressure was constant. I’ve watched ideas I believed in fall apart mid-stride. I’ve poured into people who left without warning. I’ve built with nothing but faith and fought through silence when God didn’t answer on my timeline.

One of the hardest lessons was learning how to keep building while bleeding—how to remain committed when the results didn’t match the effort. Leadership can feel lonely when you’re carrying vision others can’t yet see. But in that, I found a different kind of strength… the kind that doesn’t depend on applause.

The truth is: struggle taught me how to hear God’s voice more clearly. It forced me to prioritize what actually matters. And it revealed that I didn’t need perfect conditions to produce—just consistent obedience. The road wasn’t smooth, but it was sacred.

We’ve been impressed with Genesis Business Collective , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Genesis Business Collective is where builders come when they’re tired of hype and ready for help. We don’t babysit vision—we birth it. We work with people who know they were called to do more, but never got the structure to go with it. What we offer is a real framework to help them launch with clarity, build with order, and grow with integrity.

We walk founders through The Joseph Model™, a 7-phase system I created through pain, prayer, and real-life business pressure. It starts by getting their mindset in order, then builds the right foundation—legally, financially, and spiritually. From there, we help shape their offer, brand, systems, operations, and growth strategy. Most people have the gift. They just need the guidance. That’s where we come in.

What we’re known for is how deep we go. I don’t do surface coaching. We talk stewardship. We expose weak spots. We course-correct bad thinking. And we walk with our students the whole way, personally. I don’t believe in handing out templates and disappearing. I believe in building leaders, not just launches.

What sets Genesis apart is our backbone. We don’t chase trends. We teach timeless strategy rooted in biblical principles and built to scale. We don’t promise overnight success. We teach real growth with real results that last.

What I’m most proud of is watching people who were confused, discouraged, or stuck step into confidence because someone finally showed them how to build right. Watching them turn a napkin sketch into a real business with systems, branding, income, and impact… that never gets old.

If you’ve got something in you that won’t leave you alone… if you know there’s more, and you’re done guessing, Genesis Business Collective is your next step. You bring the obedience. We’ll help you build the structure.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most people who know me as a pastor, entrepreneur, and strategist are surprised to find out that I never wanted the spotlight. I was content in the background, serving, building, and making things happen without ever needing credit. I’m wired to lead, but I was never chasing titles. I’ve always been more comfortable helping others succeed than being the face of anything.

What’s also surprising is how much I study the human body. I’m fascinated with how God created systems… how the brain connects, how the body heals. It influences everything I do. That’s why I build businesses with structure. I lead with rhythm. I preach with alignment in mind.

I see everything… ministry, business, and leadership like a body. If one part is out of order, the whole thing suffers. So I build systems, brands, and people with the same care and intentionality God used to build us. That’s the part most people don’t know… But it’s the reason everything I touch is different.
