Hidden Gems: Meet Kristy Maxwell and Andrew Rogers of Soul Ties Marketing Inc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristy Maxwell and Andrew Rogers.

Hi Kristy and Andrew, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Soul Ties Marketing didn’t start in a boardroom. It started with a woman who had spent fifteen years learning what makes people pay attention.

Before founding the agency, Kristy Maxwell built a career in advertising, fifteen years of understanding how brands capture hearts, shift behaviour, and turn strangers into loyal customers. Along the way, she became an entrepreneur in her own right, launching a swimwear brand and building a spray tan business from the ground up. Each venture taught her something new about what it actually takes to build a brand that people remember.

But it was in 2024 that everything came together.

Kristy founded Soul Ties Marketing with a simple but powerful belief: that talented business owners were being held back not by their skill, but by their visibility. She had watched too many incredible entrepreneurs , coaches, beauty professionals, service providers, do extraordinary work while their social media told a completely different story. The gap between how good they were and how they appeared online was costing them clients they never even knew they’d lost.

So she set out to close that gap.

What began as one woman with a laptop and a vision quickly grew into something far bigger. Soul Ties Marketing expanded into a full-service brand strategy and social media management agency, working with clients across two countries and building a reputation for turning overlooked businesses into brands that command attention. From full social media management to Mini Branding Days, to the launch of The Quarterly Brand Collective — a done-for-you brand membership built in partnership with a professional photography studio Kristy created an ecosystem designed to handle every part of a brand’s presence.

Today, the agency is entering its most exciting chapter yet.

Kristy’s partner, Drew, has officially come on board and he brings an entrepreneurial spirit that matches her own. A lifelong business owner who has built and run his own businesses, Drew understands firsthand what it takes to grow something from nothing. Together, they make a formidable team: Kristy with her strategy and brand expertise, Drew with his business acumen and entrepreneurial drive.

Now, the two of them have set their sights on Dallas.

Their mission is clear to help business owners grow through strategy-led content and brand strategy that doesn’t just look good, but actually drives results. In a digital world where most businesses are simply posting and hoping, Kristy and Drew are bringing something different: a considered, strategic approach designed to help brands not just grow, but evolve.

“I’ve always believed that being great at what you do is only half the equation,” Kristy says. “The other half is making sure the world actually sees it. That’s what we do. We help incredible businesses stop being the best-kept secret in their industry.”

For Kristy and Drew, Dallas isn’t just a new market. It’s the beginning of a much bigger vision one built on strategy, driven by results, and focused entirely on helping business owners grow into the brands they were always meant to be.

With the right strategy, the right partnership, and the right city, Soul Ties Marketing is just getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly? No road worth travelling is ever completely smooth and mine certainly wasn’t.

One of the biggest challenges early on was building something entirely on my own. When you found a business as a solo entrepreneur, you’re not just the strategist you’re the salesperson, the accountant, the admin, the client manager, and everything in between. Learning to wear all of those hats at once, while still delivering exceptional work for clients, was a constant balancing act.

There was also the challenge of proving the value of what we do. Social media is something a lot of business owners think they can just handle themselves, or hand off to the cheapest option available. Educating the market on the difference between simply posting content and building a real, strategy-led brand — that took time, patience, and a lot of showing rather than telling.

And then there’s the personal side of entrepreneurship that people don’t talk about enough. The self-doubt. The seasons where you question whether it’s all going to work. I’ve had moments where I invested in myself and my business when it wasn’t necessarily the comfortable or logical choice betting on myself when the safe option would have been to play small. Those decisions were terrifying at the time, but they’re the exact reason we are where we are today.

Bringing Drew into the business was its own learning curve too. Merging a personal relationship with a professional partnership means learning how to communicate, divide responsibilities, and grow together in a whole new way. But it’s also been one of the greatest strengths of this next chapter.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that the obstacles aren’t a sign you’re on the wrong path. They’re part of the path. Every challenge taught me something I needed to know to build Soul Ties Marketing into what it is now and to take it into markets like Dallas with confidence.

Growth was never going to be comfortable. But it was always going to be worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Soul Ties Marketing, we’re a brand strategy and social media management agency but what we really do is help business owners stop being the best-kept secret in their industry.

We specialize in strategy-led content. That distinction matters, because most of what you see online is content for the sake of content posting to stay visible, without any real thinking behind it. We do the opposite. Everything we create is built on strategy first: understanding who our client’s ideal customer is, what moves them, and how to guide them from a first impression all the way to a booking. Beautiful content is only powerful when there’s a strategy underneath it, and that’s exactly where we live.

Our services span the full journey of building a brand. We offer full social media management for businesses who want it completely handled, Mini Branding Days for those who need professional content and brand imagery, and The Quarterly Brand Collective — a done-for-you brand membership we created in partnership with a professional photography studio, where clients receive a brand shoot, a full content strategy, and their entire social media plan delivered every single quarter. We also work with businesses on brand strategy itself helping them clarify their message, elevate their positioning, and evolve as they grow.

What we’re known for is bringing strategy and creativity together. A lot of agencies can make things look nice. A lot of others can talk strategy. What sets us apart is that we do both and we do it with a genuine understanding of business, because both my partner Drew and I have built businesses of our own. We know what’s actually at stake for our clients, because we’ve been in their shoes.

What am I most proud of? Honestly, recently incorporating the business was a huge milestone. It marked the moment Soul Ties Marketing officially became more than an idea or a hustle it became a real, structured company built for longevity and growth. Taking that step, especially as we expand into the Dallas market with Drew, felt like planting a flag in the ground and saying: we’re here, we’re serious, and we’re building something that lasts.

What I want readers to know is this your brand is one of the most valuable assets your business has. When it’s built with intention and strategy, it doesn’t just make you look good. It brings you clients, it builds trust, and it opens doors. That’s what we help business owners create. Not just content. A brand that works for them.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Just one thing if you’re a business owner reading this and you’ve ever felt like your online presence doesn’t reflect how good you actually are, you’re not alone. That gap is the single most common thing we see, and I want you to know it’s completely fixable.

You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. You don’t have to keep posting into the void hoping something works. And you certainly don’t have to choose between running your business and building your brand that’s exactly what we’re here for.

To everyone in Dallas especially we are so excited to be bringing Soul Ties Marketing to your city. Drew and I genuinely can’t wait to meet the business owners, the dreamers, and the builders who make this community what it is, and to help them grow into the brands they’ve always been capable of becoming.

And if there’s one belief I’d leave your readers with, it’s this: betting on yourself is never the wrong move. Every meaningful thing I’ve built came from a moment where I decided to invest in myself before I felt ready. So whatever you’ve been putting off the brand, the business, the next big step take this as your sign.

We’d love to be part of your story. You can find us at @soultiesmarketing, and our door is always open.

Thank you for having us. This is only the beginning. 🤍
