Today we’d like to introduce you to Larissa Marple.
Hi Larissa, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started Fête Fort Worth in March of 2023 to pursue a passion: celebrating and supporting people’s lives through unforgettable events! Planning weddings and events requires creativity, allows me to develop meaningful relationships, and gives me the opportunity to serve others through some of life’s most memorable moments.
My first introductions into event planning and the wedding industry were in college. I served my sorority as social chair and fell in love with event planning and coordination. Additionally, I interned at Oscar de la Renta in New York City within their bridal department. While I did not realize the intersection of these experiences at the time, they laid the foundation for my passion and skill set for wedding and event planning, that has now turned into a business.
I am thrilled to say Fête Fort Worth is already serving clients across Fort Worth and the DFW Metroplex, with more to come in 2024!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The greatest challenge I have faced is learning the logistics of running a small business. The networking, working with clients, designing event vision boards, and coordinating events themselves are all part of this industry I knew about and felt prepared for. However, I did not have direct experience with business planning and development. While there has certainly been a learning curve, it has been an incredible way to broaden my professional skill set over the past year.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Fête Fort Worth is a luxury wedding planning company committed to guiding our couples through their wedding planning and having fun every step of the way! We keep relationships at the forefront of our work while tracking every detail before, during, and after the wedding. Our goal is to ensure couples can enjoy their big day and feel like guests at their own wedding.
We work with couples from fully planning their wedding weekend to the final details and everything in between. Our packages are designed to our client’s needs and never have a “one size fits all” approach. Our clients are real, unique, and amazing, and we approach our work as partners with individual needs and wants, irrespective of the wedding.
Starting Fête has been an exciting & rewarding process! We are thrilled to have welcomed a number of new clients and cannot wait to see their spectacular events coming up this year and next. As a new business owner, I am so thankful for my amazing clients for making this possible!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Today’s couples are not one size fits all, and we are seeing couples re-prioritize their own experience. We’ve seen guest lists reduced and a move towards smaller, more intimate celebrations. Similarly, less couples are having extensive wedding parties and are instead inviting their closest friends to sit in the front with family, get ready with them, and maybe have a bachelor/bachelorette party, but with less pressure and financial burden. The most consistent theme I see is couples wanting to prioritize the experience of their closest family and friends to serve those that have supported a couple throughout their lives.
This excites us at Fête Fort Worth because we love to support couples that are focusing on their moment and relationships in their weddings.
