Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Hooton.
Hi Leah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story is one full of redemption and restoration. It wasn’t long ago that I was a strung-out drug addict with no hope or plans for a future. January 25, 2019, I got clean for the last time and was filled with hope. There were so many people and tools God put into my path that helped change my life for the better. Embrace Grace Inc., loved and helped me during my last pregnancy. My church, Gateway, welcomed me as family and has never turned its back on me. Most of all my mom helped me push past my demons and start a new, fulfilling life. I started Real Estate School in 2020 and have slowly built my business that now takes care of my family and will grow to do much more! In 2022, I will be growing my business even more to hopefully have my own team. One day I will be an Author and Speaker as well to many others who need hope and the love of Jesus.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Getting clean, for the hundredth time it seemed, was far from easy. Facing the consequence of my years of addiction was not easy. Walking the path to restoration with my young boys was not easy. I fell many times, but the difference was that I could actually get up and keep trying this time. That is the difference that the hope of Jesus provides. I never thought I’d be a good mom again or have a job bigger than fast food. I never thought I’d make it through life without any kind of drug dependency. The day I truly changed my mindset was the day I learned to dream and DO! I have so many people who poured into me and built up a lioness within me. Without the tribe that surrounds me, I would not have made it this far.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Leah Hooton, Keller Williams?
Being a realtor, I have the opportunity to pour into people and serve them. Purchasing a home is a big life decision that I get to help people navigate through. Having a servant’s heart makes a big difference in the realty business where it is common for other realtors to not care for their clients as they should. To serve and give the best real estate experience to my clients will always be my goal.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My mother deserves so much praise. She has always been there for me and supported me 100%. She has since passed but deserves all the honor. The center that changed my life and poured the love of Jesus into me is Freedom in Christ in El Paso.
My mentors Pastor Suzano and Pastor Jennifer have loved and encouraged me from my lowest to my highest from the time I lived in El Paso to here in Ft Worth.
My good friend, Marcus Montbriand, encouraged and helped me from Day 1 in Real Estate School.
My newest friend & real estate mentor, Noel Boggs, has already impacted me greatly and helped me in so many ways.
Last of all, my church family at Gateway who has supported me through each season.
