Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lori Blad.
Hi Lori, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I have always found real estate to be an exciting thing to learn about and a way to build wealth. My first home was bought within a year of graduating college. I wanted to finish renting and start putting money into our own home, so we made it a priority.
We’ve bought and sold many times since then, and I learned a lot on my own before I got my real estate license. Now, 6 years into my business I love helping my friends, family, and clients with anything real estate related.
From who to call for a new roof to how and when to sell their home or buy their next home. It’s the largest asset most of us own, so I take the responsibility of advising very seriously.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s not been an easy, straight line from where I started to where I am now. When I got my real estate license, I thought I would do commercial real estate. I spent a year working in that world, learning contracts in depth and making contacts.
After that year, I felt like I wasn’t in the right place. I knew the residential real estate work was full of agents, and it seemed saturated to me. However, I knew that was a better fit for me so I made the move. I had 6 transactions in my first 8 months after transitioning, and it’s been onward and upward since!
I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about LB Luxury Homes Group?
In the Argyle and Northlake, TX area, there is a lot of new building and growth. I have been able to work with many builders, some great and some not so great. I have helped families move onto more land to have more space for their family, and I have helped many downsize from the land into an easy yard with low maintenance. I have helped several families navigate the building process and find something preexisting when the building is the right fit for their situation.
I specialize in the Argyle and Northlake areas. I know this area inside and out. I can help you find the best fit for your family. I’m proud of the fact that I don’t rush my clients. I listen and help guide them. I have a knowledge of the area that is unmatched. I have lived in this area for 10 years, but I was in a neighboring town before that, and I have lived many years in the surrounding areas. I have had kids graduate from the local schools and have seen growth, elections, new developments, and much more. I can help in ways other agents just can’t.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the small-town feel with easy access to restaurants, gyms, all kinds of shopping, and convenience.
We have amazing schools and 2 different districts to choose from, one small and one large, both with their own list of pros and cons, depending on what your child will benefit most from.
My least favorite thing has been the many growing pains I’ve seen over the years. The town hasn’t always handled the growth in a way that makes sense. But that’s a topic of much debate around here!
