Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis & Jacqueline Caceres & Galindo.
Hi Luis & Jacqueline, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Amaru Events started from a vision we had one day, something that felt natural to us based on what we already loved doing. Over time, it grew into something more as we continued to learn, evolve, and work our way into building the brand we have today, and we’re still growing and becoming better with every event. The name Amaru comes from our dog, who we’ve had for 8 years, which makes it very special to us.
We are Jacqueline and Luis, partners in life and in business, and Amaru is really a blend of both of our backgrounds. Jacqueline comes from event planning and marketing, and also has a background in photography, which gives her a strong eye for detail, design, and the overall feel of an event. Luis spent over 10 years in the restaurant industry, starting as a server, moving into bartending, and eventually becoming a restaurant and bar manager at several restaurants here in Dallas, specifically in the Bishop Arts area. Even though he is now retired from the restaurant world, his passion for hospitality still shows up in everything we do.
From the beginning, we wanted Amaru Events to feel intentional and welcoming, with a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and creating an experience that feels seamless for both the host and their guests. We’re very hands-on in every part of the process, and both of us genuinely love the role we play in what we do. From building out cocktail menus to setting up, styling, and being present throughout the event, we really do everything ourselves, which allows us to keep that level of detail and consistency.
Now we get to be part of weddings, private events, and community gatherings all over Dallas, and for us, it always comes back to the same thing. Creating an atmosphere where people can relax, connect, and fully enjoy the moment, while also getting to do what we both genuinely love.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like any business, especially in the beginning, there are a lot of unknowns and moments where you’re figuring things out as you go. From building a client base to learning the operational side of things, there were definitely challenges along the way.
At the same time, I think what’s helped us is the genuine love we have for what we do. We’ve approached everything as a learning experience, growing with each event and finding ways to improve while still enjoying the process. It’s been a mix of hard work and having fun with it.
We still feel like we have a long way to go, and that’s something we’re excited about. There’s always more to learn, more to build, and more ways for us to continue growing as a business.
We’ve been impressed with Amaru Events , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a mobile bartending and hospitality company based in Dallas, specializing in dry hire bar services for weddings, private events, apartment communities, and corporate gatherings. We focus on creating custom cocktail menus, full bar setups, and an overall experience that feels thoughtful from start to finish.
What we’re really known for is our attention to detail and how hands-on we are. From the way the bar is set up to how the drinks are presented, everything is intentional. We also guide our clients through the process with detailed shopping lists and clear communication, which makes things feel easy and organized for them.
What sets us apart is that it’s truly us behind every event. We’re not just showing up and staffing it, we’re involved in every step, and we genuinely care about how everything comes together. Both of us love the roles we play, and that shows in the way we interact with guests and manage the flow of the event.
What we’re most proud of is how we’ve been able to build something together that reflects who we are. Seeing people enjoy themselves, hearing feedback from clients, and being trusted to be part of important moments is something we don’t take lightly. It’s a reminder that all the effort we put in is worth it.
