Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Gary.
Hi Mark , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
When I started my company, I was working for a temp agency. I was a single father and could barely take care of the bills alone on my pay. I just happen to step out in Faith started making some business cards and passing them out. My first helper was my neighbor Matthew Manganelli and he still helps us out a lot. I started getting jobs here and there slowly and it started interfering with my temporary job so I ended up q leaving my temporary job even though I was very scared to do that. Ever since then we have been growing every year and we will be the number 1 moving company in Tyler and also Texas at some point! I started adding more movers and we have grown to run up to 3 crews in the same day sometimes. We have been all around Texas and moved every type of person and every type of house you could think about! We usually stay local but we go all over Texas. I also learned my customer service from Swanns Furniture in Tyler Texas because they taught me how to truly go above and beyond for each customer, touch their heart and leave an everlasting feeling of love. I worked for Swanns for 2 years before I had my temp job. I have done move jobs a lot pretty much my whole job career on and off and it was always very natural for me. I have gotten this far by picking the best employees and teaching them how to be a servant like Jesus was. I gave my life to Christ about 8 years ago and it has been the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. Everything I have is from him because I’ve tried to make things work out like they are now and I never even came close to where I am now. Thank you Jesus
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think the hardest part about running a business is running both sides of the business the customer side and the employee side. Figuring out how to organize it all, getting everyone on the same page and staying positive when it’s super busy because it can be overwhelming! I think dealing with new hires and difficult customers can be the hardest things but learning how to persevere will take you far.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a Jesus based company. We want to show people we love them and that we care more than any other company they have ever come in contact with. We want to show them they aren’t just another customer, we are like family. We specialize in moving people’s homes/offices/ belongings and keeping them completely safe. We might not be the most skilled movers in the industry but we do have the biggest hearts. We are the most caring movers in Texas and I truly believe that because I have been around the moving industry for 13+ years and it’s not always pretty or fun. I have heard a lot of tragic stories of bad experiences with other moving companies from customers. We want to be a light in the darkness of the moving industry because people deserve to be taken care of and served with the highest of standards. Standards that Jesus would smile at.
