

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Peters.
Mary , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We wanted to build a gym that focused on a holistic approach to fitness. We believed that strength training mixed with pilates reformer and infrared heat would provide a unique blend of training styles to produce optimal results.
More than that, we wanted to create a gym that anyone would be comfortable in. It doesn’t matter who you are or what your background is; H2K offers formats that everyone can get into. From strength training to pilates, we’ve created different starting points for anybody.
With this new approach, we are also investing in the community itself. We want it to grow; we want it to evolve. We want others to experience the same satisfaction and happiness that we feel when we work out each day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We opened in the Fall of 2023 and we have been doing really well with a lot of positive feedback about our different formats and our community. People love being able to come to one location and get a variety of different workouts in a very positive and encouraging environment.
Our biggest challenge to date has been the construction going on in downtown Frisco, and the frustrations members and potential members have with the Main Street traffic and our intersection being closed. It should be opening soon though!

We are a locally owned, family owned business in downtown Frisco. Sam & Derek Kennedy, and my husband, Kevin, and I are the owners. We built H2K- which stands for Harder 2 Kill- as a way to get stronger while having fun with a supportive community. H2K Fitness helps our community of members become ‘Harder 2 Kill’ everyday by improving their mental and physical strength through a diverse blend of training styles- strength training, Pilates reformer and Infrared heat.
No other fitness studio around offers the types of formats we offer- 3 modalities under one room, all which complement the other modalities. Our strength training classes (LIFT) are our signature weight training class and one of the most popular class options. This HIIT style workout will provide a heart pounding experience that improves your strength, endurance, and your overall health. If you are strength training, it is important to incorporate Pilates reformer to target those smaller muscles which support our larger muscles that we often overuse. If your main goal is to improve core strengthen, increase flexibility and build overall endurance your main focus would be pilates reformer with strength training to complement. Adding in Infrared heat class will help you burn calories, increase circulation and reduce joint pain!
