I worked at the Hyatt Regency Hotel from 1986 to 1997. I Got Married in May 1997. I worked at EDS Electronic Data Systems from 1996 to 2002. I stay home to raise my two sons until they started school in 2005. In July 2005 stated Mini’s Income Tax Service and have been here since then. We do Income Tax, Bookkeeping, ITIN (I’m a Certified Acceptance Agent CAA). All my family lives in Grand Prairie we are from Cueramaro, Guanajuato Mexico where I was born. I love to travel.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever easy but I always say but it not impossible. “Querer es poder”. Well let see, I came to the USA when I was 9 years old and did not speak English and I knew I had to learn fast to be able to translate to my parents. We were doing well and in May 1982 my Dad had an accident and almost lost his life. Since that day my Dad was disable and never worked again. He was always there to guide us, be our roll model and to teach us respect. I started working at age 12 to help my mother. I worked cleaning offices after school, I worked at Churches Fried Chicken and then the Hyatt. I learned to drive very young so that I can help my parents. I knew I wanted a better life so I put all my effort in school. My parents always said “la mejor herencia es la educacion” So they always push us to get an education. Throughout my University years it was hard my parents did not have mush to send for my expenses so I had to work. I work at the computer lab, I tutor and then work At Communities in Schools a non-profit agency that I my self attenden when I was in High School. I have two son’s and life still throw challenges my way! I have a 24 years old son that has Autism. That has been and still is my biggest challenge. He’s some verbal but has communication issues. both of my boys are the main reason I keep fighting to do more and grow. My son has thought me life is not easy but its not impossible either.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We preparer Tax Returns personal and business. We do bookkeeping. I’m a CAA (Certified Acceptance Agent) to get an ITIN. We translate documents, I’m a Notary Public. We do Tax Planning. Apostille Documents
I personally do every tax return and we preparer your Tax in private. We explained and went through the taxes return before you sign. I believe that my clients should know what they are filing and it’s their responsibility to know their taxes. They hire me to do their taxes, and I feel responsible for them to understand them. We treat our client like family not like a number or just another client. They become part of my life.
We offer knowledge, I’m register with the IRS and attend classes yearly to be updated with new law and regulations.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
It takes years to keep a client and a second to lose them.
Patience is a virtue.
I preferred a client that says that he left because I do things the right way and that I follow the rules than a client that would say that he left because I do thing wrong.
