Hi Miya, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My entrepreneurial journey started in May 2020. I graduated during the pandemic, and like the rest of the world, I was unemployed and unsure what I would do. My internship, which was supposed to lead to a full-time position, fell through because the company no longer had the resources to do so, and there was a nationwide hiring freeze. I knew I wanted to work in social media marketing, and I refused to let time pass by doing nothing. So, I did some research and launched my company, Elise Creative Management, the following month.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Learning how to run a business definitely comes with its challenges. There’s a lot of backend work involved, but I had a lot of help along the way.
