Today we’d like to introduce you to Quinn Hoffmann
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up a proud Fighting Farmer in Lewisville, TX. I loved my city, but I always knew I was going to move to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of modeling and acting. That day came when I was scouted at an event by an acting agent, and I made the big move two weeks after my 18th birthday.
Living in LA was a dream—the city is a huge melting pot of people from all over the country, and the world. Everyone is from somewhere else, and as eager to make friends as you are. It wasn’t long before I found myself living out my dream of going on castings, and auditioning for roles in some of my own favorite TV shows. Some of my favorite jobs I booked include 90210, Miley Cyrus’ Party In The USA music video, and the main title intro to the show Pretty Little Liars.
I was having the time of my life, and as the years went on living the fast paced lifestyle— in true dramatic Hollywood fashion I encountered what was to me a near death experience where I nearly accidentally drove my own car off the side of a cliff in the Hollywood hills. This was a wake up call for me. I needed to slow down. I missed home.
I decided to move home to ground myself, recalibrate my priorities, and then move back out to Los Angeles when I was ready after a year or so. But something happened upon my return—I fell in love with Dallas.
I was now 23, and I realized that I had not yet experienced Dallas as an adult. I started building a life here, getting my first apartment and living on my own in Uptown (I had always lived with five girls at a time while in LA because the cost of living was so high). I met a man, and fell in love. 🙂 I was really honest with myself, and realized that my priorities had changed. Or not even necessarily that they had changed, but that I had discovered my true priorities in life—which were stability, love, and creative purpose.
Calling Dallas home is my stability, the man I fell in love with is now my husband, and together we have three beautiful young children, and I get to work fulfilling my creative purpose as a UGC creator. UGC stands for User Generated Content. Brands hire me to create content for their social media pages and ad campaigns.
UGC has given me the freedom to work from home. The gratitude of contributing financially to my family. It allows me to pursue my interests in fashion, beauty, wellness, and motherhood. Every collaboration is different, and although I work with brands, I have creative control over the whole process from shooting, to script writing, to editing, and that’s the beauty of UGC.
I may not have “made it big” in Hollywood, and I thank God for that every day. Life and success is all about experiences and belief, and for me that belief starts with Jesus Christ. I’m honored to be living out the path that He has had planned for me all along. I’m so grateful for the experiences I’ve had, and all that is to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. I think when you’re young you can have this vision for exactly how your life is going to play out, and when you’re met with a bump in the road, part of the struggle is learning to adapt to change.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Although content creation fulfills my creative passion, it is my business. I am responsible in carrying out contracts, and meeting deadlines. It is important to me to sustain professional relationships with the brands I work with.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My number one priority is my relationship with Jesus. He is my firm foundation that which gives me the strength to endure wearing many hats.
The determination to put my family’s needs above my own. The significance of being a supportive wife to my husband. The importance of showing up as the best version of myself in a mother. The courage to fulfill my creative purpose. These are all of great importance to me.
