Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Salazar.
Hi Rebecca, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started as a performer at 18 and worked the nightlife industry for 8 years and gained experience organizing groups of dancers at some of the venues that I would get booked at. At the beginning of 2021, I had reached out to a club that was going to be opening up that had expressed interest in wanting multiple specialty acts such as aerialist, gogo dancers, fire eaters, and pole dancers. This gave me the motivation to start reaching out to performers and made me realize that I could start my own entertainment company. Simultaneously a performer from Houston had also reached out to me about gogo dancing opportunities, we had followed each other on social media for years but when she reached out, I had no idea that she had moved up to Dallas. I was so excited that she had reached out because she had several years being a part of a professional entertainment group as well as managing so after talking with her, I explained that I was wanting to start a company and with her experience she would be a great fit for being costume design and management. This was the start of an amazing partnership as well as friendship. Today we have over 30 performers that we have on an active roster for events and have several resident venues that we supply performers to. We have worked events such as Lights All Night and been a part of tours for snoop dogg as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, the pressure to find clients as well as trying to establish professionalism within a market and with performers from varying levels of experience has been an extreme challenge. There are very few companies that specialize in our services so there is no set standard of doing business.
As you know, we’re big fans of Infinite Entertainment. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We provide a wide array of specialty acts and performers for all sorts of events such as aerialists, fire eaters or professional dancers for nightclubs, or even stilt walkers for concerts. We specialize in curating immersive experiences with professional performers of all capacity. What sets us apart from others is our attention to detail as well as our dedication and first-hand knowledge in the industry. I’m most of being a minority-owned woman business. We are the professional experience creators for any and all events.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am also in school for occupational therapy assisting and am expecting my first child this year in November.
