Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Taylor.
Sabrina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always loved make-up and skincare since I can remember. I have been in the beauty industry now for 20 years. I started in my 20s working as a freelance MUA in Los Angeles and as a personal make-up artist to celebrities. I worked in TV, did some really fun Editorial shoots with brands like Sports Illustrated, Korean Vogue, and had the privilege of working with some amazing photographers in studios like Smashbox Studios. It seems like a lifetime ago. That time of my life taught me so much about different skin types, about make-up and lighting, what it takes working in a fast pace business, what was most important to photographers, work ethic. I grew up fast. I also worked for a few cosmetic companies and learned a lot about skincare ingredients, realizing there was so much garbage in what people were using on their face. After leaving Los Angeles and moving to Dallas, and taking time off to be a mom – I realized I was missing something in my life. I have always felt the calling to help people, and I Love skin and wellness so much. I knew I wanted to create a place that brought holistic practitioners together under one roof, so people could find everything they needed from a holistic standpoint. Healing people with holistic treatments for our skin, our mind, our body, and spirit. That was where I wanted to be.
Fast forward to 2020 – I always believed that when the time was right to create this dream, I would know. That time came when the world shut down in 2020. I heard spirit tell me now is the time, do not stop, and so I found a room to rent and opened Kiss Her Face Aesthetics. I was the Holistic aesthetician here in Frisco. After I opened my solo suite, I knew I had to start looking for like-minded practitioners who also had the desire to create a place that would bring us all together in a holistic way. A place to help people heal their skin, their spirit, their health from the inside out. Total body & mind wellness.
After about 4 months, I was gifted a session with Next Level harmonics, A treatment that is based on sacred geometry, sound, and light healing. I cried the moment I walked into the office because I knew in that moment I had found another healer, like myself, wanting to help change the world. And sure enough, Stephanie was on board. Ever since I made the decision to pursue this dream, I have been blessed with amazing people, clients, and friends who have trusted me, believed in me, and who have helped propel me into this next chapter of this beautiful dream. Kiss Her Face Aesthetics & Wellness Center has come together, and I can’t wait to see how far she expands.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Things have been coming together pretty smoothly. Other than learning things about business that I didn’t know, everything has been great, and that gives me affirmation that I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing. Sure, there have been a few hiccups, – but I’ve grown to learn to see those hiccups as a way to grow stronger, smarter and to trust that everything is happening for me, not to me. A positive outlook is what gets me through it all. Even when it seems hard.
We’ve been impressed with Kiss Her Face Aesthetics & Wellness Center, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Kiss Her Face Aesthetics & Wellness Center, we believe in a spiritual & holistic approach to skincare and overall health & wellness. What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We see our wellness center growing into an even bigger, beautiful sanctuary full of different holistic treatments and providers from acupuncture, spiritual massage therapy, holistic doctors. We feel like the world is crying out for natural healing, and we feel that bringing practitioners together who share the same vibrational frequencies and who want to heal people in the same holistic way; is the way of the future. We want to create a space where we can educate people, bring people together, find union and oneness and give our clients a place to step away from their everyday world into a peaceful, calming, and balancing world so that they can better navigate their own world in a more grounded, spiritual way.
