My business began with a mother’s love and a desire to help my children. When my third child was born, we faced a challenge eczema. His case was the very severe, as he was born with it, and from infancy, I struggled to keep his skin moisturized and soothed. I searched high and low for a solution, buying countless lotions and creams from store shelves, but nothing seemed to work.

One day, out of sheer frustration, I had an idea: Why not create my own lotion? I went to the store, bought a basic lotion base, and added oils I thought might help. To my amazement, the lotion worked! But, I wasn’t satisfied with just a quick fix. If I was going to create a product for my son, I wanted to control every ingredient that went into it. I wanted to know exactly what was touching his delicate skin.

That desire led me to start researching. I dove deep into understanding how lotions were made, why they were formulated in certain ways, and how they had evolved over time. My non-scientific background didn’t stop me; I was a mother, and that instinct to protect my family pushed me forward.

After a few trial batches, I succeeded. The lotion not only helped my son’s eczema but also nourished and improved his skin. It felt like a breakthrough — and that was just the beginning. I didn’t want to stop there. I began to think about all the ways I could create products to help my family. Skin care wasn’t just about lotions; it was about soaps, creams, body butters, and everything that touched our skin. If I could make products that worked for my children, surely I could share them with others.

My goal is simple: to create products that allow everyone to experience healthier, happier skin, just as I’ve seen with my own family.

What started as a personal journey has grown into a business built on care, transparency, and a commitment to helping others. My children’s eczema led me to this purpose, and now, I’m proud to share the fruits of that journey with the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It started off as a smooth road and then life happened. My grandmother, father and best friend passed away all within months of each other right at the point of when my business was about to take off. It took a toll on me and I had to find ways to push myself. I had to keep reminding myself that if they were still here they would be encouraging me to keep on going. As a new business the biggest challenge is getting your name out there. I have attended a lot of vendor events and some do well and some don’t, regardless of how you do you have to keep pushing. Even if you only make one sale, instead of being down celebrate that sale. Marketing is a huge challenge for me as you have to make sure that you are marketing to the right audience and that you are providing your audience what they want to see, or giving them information that they want to hear.
