Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Lane.
Sarah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a licensed professional counselor. I have been in my profession for over 8 years. I started out wanting to help those with addiction issues and eating disorders. I still work with these populations today and found a calling to help those with trauma and mood disorders as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Stating my oen practice was a learning curve, but I have enjoyed every step.
As you know, we’re big fans of Sarah Lane Counseling Services. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I see clients online throughout all of Texas. I work with clients struggling with unhealthy coping skills as an adaptation to a deeper issue. Those struggling with addiction, codependency, and/or eating disorders as a result of trauma and negative beliefs about themselves are my ideal population.
I am trained in many types of therapy and have an eclectic approach. I provide psycho-education from a mindful perspective, utilizing EMDR and trauma informed approaches to further enhance and address the goals of the individual. Other types of services I offer are Gottman Method, CBT, DBT, ACT, Somatic therapy and trauma informed yoga.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have a billing assistand and administrative assistant. They are wonderful and together we are able to serve the clients with a sense of urgency and respect.
