Today we’d like to introduce you to Siddharth Shankar
Hi Siddharth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Whether it was starting my own Lemonade Stand as a kid to raise funds for my recreational football team or sparking innovation in EdTech and Venture Capital to assist students and businesses around the world–I’ve felt that I’ve always had a knack for entrepreneurship and public speaking. Throughout High School, it’s been my mission to create tangible change in both my local and international communities through collaborations with School Administrations, Lawmakers, and Local Businesses, and I look forward to furthering my efforts in the future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We struggled a lot with gaining recognition for some of our initiatives, and we felt our outreach wasn’t personable enough. We weren’t able to effectively spread our message while relating with students, startups, and investors online, so we began hiring teams of dozens of interns from underrepresented areas to work for our marketing and outreach teams. Through this, we found a lot of success with achieving viewership we couldn’t have ever imagined, namely our appearance on FOX5 New York in front of 100,000+ viewers.
As you know, we’re big fans of CloudCores. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Through my startup, CloudCores, I preserve every business’ rags-to-riches, immigrant, and service member story with affordable websites and solutions, while sharing our company’s journey on local news stations. I’ve mentored industry-driven students from underprivileged communities around the world, and promoted technical and casual discussions between management, the students, and our clientele.
CloudCores is just one of many initiatives I’ve taken to empower entrepreneurs across the country, and I now aim to assist other highly motivated students with launching their own ventures.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
At 6, I began selling lemonade to my neighbors to fundraise for better football equipment within our community. It would become my first venture in a ceaseless pursuit of social entrepreneurship.
