Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Roman Hicks.
Hi Sierra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a Texas girl, born and raised. I attended Texas State University majoring in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry and recently received my master’s in Medical Science from Southern California University. In November 2020, I founded Legaci Loungewear briefly after having my daughter and working full-time in Property Management. As a new and single mother planning to apply to medical school, having experienced a not so lucky transition. I created a transitional loungewear brand that would empower women to feel confident and comfortable in her own skin. I started my brand to be an inspiration to women and a reminder to put themselves first. I then found that I was able to make extra income to support my lifestyle, as well as offer knowledge to individuals wanting to start their own businesses.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had my fair share of challenges, to say the least. Prior to starting my loungewear line, I was dealing with personal struggles financially and mentally leaving me insecure and unmotivated. I did not even shop online nor have any idea how to run a business. I have always been a well-mannered determined school girl that consistently strived for self-elevation. But being that I had recently become a mother, I had to step back and re-coup, it was not just about me anymore. This was just the beginning of a beautiful journey that is still being unraveled. Hence, what the brand mission was founded on, “Like a lotus flower grown out of darkness, we must trust our experiences to allow birth to our beautiful self.”
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Legaci Loungewear is a transitional loungewear line that is designed for everyday women to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. We have an online store that offers custom lounge t-shirts, essential sets, and hand-picked custom pieces both for on the go or on the couch. Another attribute is our ambassador program that allows women a lifetime discount code to our pieces in addition to a free item of their choice. We are also jumpstarting a mommy and me collection soon, we are excited to release. This I hold heavily as I am a full-time mother to a beautiful toddler girl. I am most proud of the inspiration we are able to give women, as well as the support we have received since we started!

Vision is the most important characteristic to my success. Whether it is how you see yourself or how others see you, you must envision and manifest things into your life as if it has already happened. You are your only competition.
