Hidden Gems: Meet Sravanthi Patil of Special Strong Greater Lewisville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sravanthi Patil.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into adaptive fitness is very personal. As a parent of a child with special needs, I saw how limited the opportunities were for kids like him to simply move, grow, and feel confident.

That experience pushed me to become a certified adaptive fitness trainer and start working with individuals with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges. I began from scratch—building relationships, partnering with local gyms, and slowly growing a community.

Today, I run one-on-one and group programs in the Lewisville and Flowermound, colony annd highland village area, helping individuals build strength, confidence, and independence.

For me, this is more than a business—it’s my purpose.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was starting from scratch and building awareness in the community, because adaptive fitness is still something many families are not familiar with. Another challenge was finding the right spaces and partnerships to run sessions, since I did not begin with a fixed location.

There were also emotional challenges—balancing the personal side of being a parent of a child with special needs while also building something meaningful for other families. But every obstacle taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of staying committed to the mission.

In the end, those challenges only made me stronger and even more passionate about what I do.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Special Strong Greater Lewisville ?
Special Strong Greater Lewisville is an adaptive fitness business focused on serving individuals with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges. We provide personalized one-on-one and group fitness programs designed to build strength, confidence, and independence in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What sets us apart is that we don’t just focus on workouts—we focus on the individual. Every program is customized based on each person’s ability, needs, and goals. We meet our athletes where they are, whether that’s in a gym, small group setting, or even at home.

We are known for creating a safe, encouraging space where individuals feel seen, understood, and empowered. For many families, it’s not just about fitness—it’s about progress, confidence, and belonging.

What I’m most proud of is the impact we’ve been able to create—seeing athletes gain strength, improve coordination, and most importantly, believe in themselves.

At the heart of our brand is a simple mission: to help every individual live a more independent, confident, and abundant life through adaptive fitness.

What does success mean to you?
For me, success is not just about numbers or growth—it’s about impact. Success is when I see an athlete who once struggled to move gain strength, confidence, and independence. It’s in the small wins—the first step, the improved balance, the smile after a session.

As a business owner, success also means building trust with families and creating a space where they feel supported and understood.

At the end of the day, if I’m able to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life and help them live a more confident and independent life—that’s success to me.
