Today we’d like to introduce you to Sumedha Gokhale.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Originally from Mumbai, India, Dallas has been my home for almost 20 years now. I have transitioned from running a design firm in Mumbai to embracing the dynamic world of real estate in the DFW area.
I take great pride in helping buyers navigate their first home purchase and have worked hard to become a trusted resource for homeowners looking to sell. My approach to real estate is focused on empowering my clients by providing buyers with all tools and data necessary to identify the right property and by providing sellers with honest, data-driven guidance, clear marketing strategies, and a customized plan to get their home sold efficiently. My architectural background enables me to guide sellers in identifying simple, cost-effective improvements that can significantly impact a home’s market appeal and competitiveness.
Whether it’s a first-time sale, an upgrade, or an investment property, I work tirelessly to ensure my clients feel informed and confident throughout the transaction.
My happiest moments come from helping clients achieve their real estate goals, whether it’s acquiring their first home or building an investment portfolio or selling a home that has holds a ton of memories for the homeowners.
Despite the challenges any real estate transaction can be, I remain dedicated to my mantra of listening, educating, fixing and moving on from setbacks, always with a focus on improvement and learning.
I love to travel with my family, cook, read and go on long walks with my Golden Retriever. I cherish the trust placed in me by my clients and the referrals that come from satisfied customers, viewing them as both an honor and a testament to my dedication.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I read somewhere ‘smooth roads never make good drivers’. Through moving to a different country and continent and adapting to a completely different culture and way of living, waiting a long time to get a work permit and switching careers it ‘s been and continues to be a wonderful ride. I am thankful for the opportunity.
As you know, we’re big fans of Sumedha Gokhale, Realtor, Fathom Realty LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My name is Sumedha Gokhale and I have been a licensed realtor in the DFW metroplex for 6+ years.
I help people who desire to buy, sell or invest in real estate by navigating them through each step of the transaction in a fun, organized and laid back way. No matter when you are ready to buy or sell, I promise to do everything I can to help the process go smoothly and for my clients to reach their goal as soon as possible.
I did my Bachelor’s in Architecture and my Master’s in Digital Art and I love how I am able to draw from those backgrounds and help my clients in the real estate space by offering buyers insights into design, space utilization, and the aesthetic potential of properties. When helping sellers I help with staging, design, and value enhancement—helping seller clients present their homes in the best light and achieve top dollar.
I help a lot of first-time home buyers and out of state buyers moving to Texas. It is wonderful to see buyers go from overwhelmed to informed and confident and excited for the next chapter by the time we are at the closing table. I am honored to be a part of that journey.
I am extremely thankful and humbled by my client reviews on Google and when my clients refer me to their friends and family for their real estate needs, I take that as a testament of my hard work and dedication.
For anyone wanting to sell their home, buy their first home or for those moving to Dallas, I will be honored to serve you and to have the opportunity to be a part of your journey and help you meet your real estate goals in the most efficient manner.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
There is so much to love about Dallas. When I moved to Dallas in 2008, my favorite thing about the city was it’s people. I got to experience the southern charm, hospitality and friendliness of Dallas residents and it made me feel welcome and that is so important when you move to a new place. Over the years I have come to love the cultural diversity the city offers, access to world class cuisine, a vibrant art scene with the Bishop Arts district galleries and wonderful museums and now even Broadway shows at the Music Hall at Fair Park. We have gorgeous homes in green neighborhoods, easy access to top rated schools, colleges and family friendly activities from soccer and tennis leagues to ballet and lacrosse and everything in between. Dallas has a strong love for sports and there is always something for sports enthusiasts with Dallas being home to the Cowboys or Dallas Mavs for basketball fans and Dallas stars for hockey fans.
Last but not he least Dallas has always had a strong economy and robust employment opportunities with many companies choosing Dallas for their headquarters.
I am not a fan of the Dallas traffic, a big city problem like anywhere else or the sometimes few and sometimes more than a few 100 degree summer days :).
