Charm Attention Boutique was founded on July 27, 2019, by Ta’Nya Thurmond—a young entrepreneur with a passion for beauty and confidence. Ta’Nya’s journey began in high school, where she first explored entrepreneurship by selling Kool-Aid pickles. By her senior year, her vision evolved into what is now Charm Attention Boutique.
Starting with lashes and handmade lip gloss, Ta’Nya built the brand with the mission to empower women of all skin tones. Charm Attention Boutique is more than just beauty products—it’s about giving every woman that extra boost of confidence to embrace her charm and command attention wherever she goes.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My business journey hasn’t always been smooth. I’ve faced delayed inventory, incorrect shipments, and even customers who weren’t always patient. But each challenge taught me resilience, problem-solving, and how to move with grace under pressure.

Charm Attention Boutique focuses on affordable, high-quality cosmetics that work beautifully on all skin tones. Our creamy, pigmented lip glosses are our signature and top-selling product. We’re excited to soon offer makeup services using our own line, with plans to expand into more cosmetic and skincare products. Although we are a Black-owned brand, our doors—and our products—are created for everyone.
What makes you happy?
Adventuring brings me joy. It can be something as simple as trying new foods or as big as traveling and attending new events. Putting myself in new environments helps me connect with different people, see life from new perspectives, and grow personally.
