Hidden Gems: Meet Thaddeus Miller of Popup Comfort

Today we’d like to introduce you to Thaddeus Miller.

Hi Thaddeus, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Popup Comfort started back in 2018 upon my arrival back home to Dallas. Moving back to Texas from North Dakota, I found myself in a very unfulfilled mindset. I had a really good job that allowed me to travel and enjoy life. However, something inside me kept thinking about the times my mother use to let people stay in our home in their time of need.

I started to take cash to homeless area to pass out. I instantly realized how pointless that was. So, the following weekend I went back with water fruit, and friends, and a hot Texas summer day. Went from helping 15 people to 80 people with the same amount of money.

From there the mission became clear and continued. We knew we wanted to make people’s lives more comfortable and make them smile no matter what. With a lot of hard work and persistence, 3 years later we are still your DFW smile dealers. Bringing happiness and comfort any way we can…

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So far this has been an awesome road to travel. Our very own Hobbit’s journey. There has been some bad times. Some scary times, lots of unsure if we can do this moment in the beginning. Then first 1 or more we decided not to take any assistance, we wanted to put in the work, so our community we are serious. Those times got a little stressful.

However, all those moments are overruled as soon as you see the smile on the face of a family who will be able to eat groceries for the month. The mom who needed help moving out her car, the kids who get to have a movie night in their school, the teacher who doesn’t have to use her own money for items, the wealthy person being given Tiffs Treats and told they also matter. Once you see how you are really changing lives and making a difference in a world that can be so consumed with negativity. Nothing else matters.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
