Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Lashaé
Hi Tia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into project management has been deeply personal and enlightening. Growing up as the second oldest of four siblings, I naturally took on the role of planner and caregiver. With my parents working late or on swing shifts, I often found myself ensuring my younger siblings were well taken care of. This responsibility taught me vital skills in organization, planning, and risk management—qualities that would later serve me in my career, even before I recognized their significance.
When I entered the tech world, particularly in cybersecurity, I initially struggled to find my purpose. I had little understanding of what project management truly entailed, but I believe that God places people in our lives for a reason. Through various connections and the support of those around me, I began to uncover my potential. They opened doors and introduced me to opportunities that ignited my passion for project management.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth; I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. One of the most significant struggles has been dealing with imposter syndrome. Even though I have the experience and knowledge necessary for my role, I often found myself questioning whether I truly belonged, especially in high-stakes environments like meetings with vice presidents and directors. The nerves would creep in, making me doubt my abilities and wonder if I was really equipped to handle the responsibilities I had been given.
It was a constant battle to remind myself that I had been hired for a reason. I knew how to manage risk, lead meetings, and communicate effectively. Yet, the internal struggle to accept my worth and capabilities persisted. I often felt as if I didn’t belong, even as I worked hard to earn my place.
What I’ve come to realize is that the path to success is rarely linear; it’s filled with bumps and lessons that shape us along the way. Every challenge I faced and every setback I encountered contributed to my growth. Those experiences, while difficult at the time, have prepared me for the moments I now face—leading meetings, encouraging others, and driving project success.
Through it all, I’ve learned that embracing these struggles is essential. They have not only made me more resilient but have also equipped me to inspire others on their journeys. As I often remind myself, “God gave me the vision, so surely He will provide the provision.” Each lesson learned has become evident as I step into my role with confidence and determination, ready to make an impact.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

One thing that I can say most people don’t know about my journey is that I dropped out of college twice before eventually earning my bachelor’s degree with a focus in project management. During that time, I faced significant challenges, including periods of homelessness. These experiences were incredibly difficult, but they taught me resilience and determination.
I worked hard to overcome generational curses and break the cycles that had held my family back. I firmly believe that God has charted my path and led me through these trials. Each struggle has shaped who I am today and fueled my passion for helping others find their own paths to success. I want people to know that no matter how tough things may seem, it’s possible to rise above challenges and achieve your dreams.
