We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being raised by a single Father, not having my Mother around, I struggled in school, grew up with three siblings, two older sisters and a younger brother in Pleasant Grove, it tested me. Character and made me a man. I am proud I grew up there because it made me the man I am today. I was held back in school, I had to do 1st grade 3x, I was a slow learner and it affected me throughout my childhood. As I got older, it made me more hungry to learn the normal routine lifestyle. Later on, I learned how to learn so when I went to college, I had to re-do basics because I was so underbought during my childhood. I went to college, worked three jobs, all while making the USA Boxing Team. I always got picked on because I was chubby and happy-go-lucky attitude so in the hood, that was frowned upon (naive in the world, always happy).

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Throughout my life, I have learned not to take life too seriously. Life is a marathon, not a race, no matter how you start, you will always finish stronger. It’s okay to take a couple of L’s but I will never be a quitter. No matter what, hard work will beat everything at the end of the day. Having a mentor like Nathan Pipitone and surrounding myself with successful people was a huge key to my success. If you outwork anyone, you will beat anyone, all it takes is determination, dedication and will.
