Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Pahua.
Hi Vanessa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my floral business just about a year ago, during a time when I was struggling with my mental health and looking for something to lift my spirits. What began as a spontaneous idea quickly turned into something so much bigger than I ever expected.
In less than a year, I reached over 1,000 followers on Instagram and have had up to 300,000 views on my profile. I was also on Roses By Abril Podcast at about my 6 month mark! The growth has been surreal, but I believe it’s a reflection of the way I choose to show up—not just as a business, but as a positive space for others.
I love pouring back into the community that has supported me from day one. Hosting frequent giveaways is one of my favorite ways to show appreciation and spread a little joy. I’m honestly so proud of how far I’ve come in just a year. This journey has taught me so much, not just about running a business, but about resilience, gratitude, and the power of creating something with heart
.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since everything happened so quickly, one of the biggest things I had to learn was how to keep up with the growth and stay organized while still protecting my mental health — which was the reason I started this journey in the first place.
Balancing the demands of full-time college and working part-time, all while stepping into a completely new profession, required a tremendous amount of resilience and organization. Juggling these responsibilities simultaneously was overwhelming at times, but it also taught me the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care.
Navigating the fast-paced growth of my business alongside these personal challenges meant constantly adapting and learning how to stay focused without compromising my well-being. Although it’s not always easy, having a supportive community around me has been an invaluable source of motivation and encouragement. I want to especially thank my parents, siblings, and boyfriend for always being my right hands throughout this journey. My brothers have been there helping me clean buckets or unload roses, my parents constantly sharing my work, helping with cleaning roses, and supporting me during big projects and busy holidays. And my boyfriend—affectionately known as my “elite employee” on Instagram—never hesitates to help, even if it’s the crack of dawn. His unwavering support means the world to me.
I also want to give a huge thank you to Abril and Michael, who have been incredible sources of guidance and the little push I need when times get tough. As the number one floral wholesalers in DTX, their support has truly made a difference in my journey!
Every obstacle has been a lesson, and I truly believe embracing these difficulties is essential to personal and professional growth.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Pahuaxbouquets ?
My business, PahuaxBouquets, is all about bringing your floral visions to life. I specialize in custom floral arrangements that are made with intention, creativity, and love. Whether it’s a vase arrangement, sympathy piece, basket design, or even hotel and room setups, I aim to create something memorable every single time.
I proudly offer pick-up and delivery across the entire DFW area, making it easy and convenient for my clients to enjoy fresh florals for any occasion. I also love surprising people with great deals, but above all, I prioritize quality — using only the best roses and florals, exported straight from Ecuador, known for their beauty and longevity.
I’m also proud to be a floral instructor in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, teaching at Roses By Abril, where I get to help others explore and grow their own passion for flowers. Sharing what I’ve learned with others has been one of the most fulfilling parts of this journey.
What truly sets PahuaxBouquets apart is the realness behind the brand. I never hide who I am — my customers get to see the genuine, everyday version of me. I stay flexible and understanding with every client because, let’s be honest, we’re all human. Life isn’t perfect, but I always do my best to make each experience with my business feel personal and positive.
What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built around my brand. It’s not just about flowers — it’s about connection, authenticity, and making people feel seen, celebrated, and appreciated.
What’s next?
Honestly, my plan is to keep doing what I love and let God guide the rest. I trust that whatever comes next is meant for me, and I’m open to the opportunities He brings my way. I know that with my amazing support system , God , & my community anything is possible!
