Hidden Gems: Meet Yuri Mendoza of Beauty In The Details LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yuri Mendoza.

Hi Yuri, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story began the day I had my brows done for the first time—it completely changed the way I saw the beauty industry. As a teen mom, finances were extremely tight during and after graduating high school, and without access to financial aid, my studies came to a stop. For many years, I felt lost and questioned where I belonged or if I was even good at anything.

I had the privilege of staying home and raising my three boys, watching them grow, but that also meant putting my professional life on pause. During that season, I tried many forms of entrepreneurship—from baking (which became an answered prayer during difficult times), to crafting, to selling products—always searching for something that truly felt right.

For years, I carried a dream of building something I could call my own. Eventually, God gave me Beauty In The Details—a name that reflects who He is in my life. He is always in the details.

My vision was to create a space where women feel safe, loved, and unjudged—a place where they can share their stories and feel at ease. When I first opened, I had three clients booked and two canceled for personal reasons. I questioned everything. But my very first client, who had booked even before my doors officially opened, walked in, sat in my chair, and poured her heart out. In that moment, I knew this was God’s plan, not mine.

She became the confirmation my heart was searching for. I will always remember her as my first client—the instrument God used to bring peace and reassurance that I was exactly where I was meant to be.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, and one of the challenges I’m currently facing is uncertainty about what the future holds. There are moments where the next steps aren’t clearly defined, and that can be uncomfortable.

However, I’ve learned that uncertainty doesn’t mean lack of purpose. Even when my plans feel unclear, I hold firmly to God’s promises. This business belongs to Him, not me—I’m simply the vessel. Trusting that truth has helped me remain grounded, focused, and at peace, even in seasons where the direction is still unfolding.

Each challenge continues to strengthen my faith, resilience, and confidence in the work I’ve been called to do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Beauty In The Details LLC is a faith-led beauty business that focuses on both skill and care. We offer permanent makeup, brow threading, and hybrid tint services. I chose to offer hybrid tint for clients who may not qualify for PMU due to health reasons, or for those who simply aren’t ready for something permanent yet. Every service is intentional and tailored to the individual sitting in my chair.

I truly enjoy what I do. Brows, which once felt intimidating in the beginning, have become my safe place. I love the process—the mapping, the balance, the precision. Every line matters. Mapping isn’t just a step to me; it’s where the entire brow comes together and where detail truly speaks.

For me, it’s never been about competition. I don’t believe we compete with other artists—we complement one another. There is room for all of us, and I genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with others in the industry. Growth is better when it’s shared.

What sets Beauty In The Details apart is that it’s never just about the service. It’s about creating a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and confident in their decision. This is just the beginning for my business. I plan to continue expanding my services while staying rooted in humility. I believe we never stop learning, and the moment we think we know it all is the moment we stop growing. Humbleness, to me, is one of the greatest gifts behind a successful and lasting business.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t really believe in luck. I believe in God’s timing and purpose. What some may call “good luck” or “bad luck,” I see as lessons, redirection, or preparation.

There have been moments that felt like setbacks, but looking back, those moments shaped my character, strengthened my faith, and prepared me for what I was meant to build. Nothing about this journey feels accidental.

This business isn’t the result of luck—it’s the result of faith, obedience, and showing up even when the outcome is still not clear.
