Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Menezes
Hi Zach, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After graduating college, I started my career by becoming a realtor in hopes of achieving my dream of being an entrepreneur. I knew I enjoyed helping people and I wanted to learn something new, and helping people on their home buying, or selling, journey seemed like a great fit for me. After about a year and a half of working through my realty career, I began to notice that curb appeal was so important to people, whether that was the color of the house, the condition of the windows, or the color of the front door. I also began to notice the lack of care for homes while showing them to prospective buyers, which often presented itself as dirty windows, a driveway corroded with black mold or algae, rust stains from sprinklers, dirty siding, and more. This was where the birth and vision of Restore It Power wash was built from. My initial career in realty birthed a new journey for me in the cleaning world, and I’ve loved it and desire to continue to grow in it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been plenty of road bumps along the way. It sounds simple, but one of the initial things which was really difficult, was finding people who could trust me with no prior experience. Don’t get me wrong, I had practiced, but performing my work for new clients was hard to come by.
Another struggle was learning about the equipment itself. When it came to troubleshooting, especially while on the job, I felt lost in this realm often. It has since gotten much better.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Restore It Power Wash?
What people should know is I care a great deal about my work, and seek treat everyone with fairness and kindness. I believe my kindness is something I’ve been known for since I was young and I seek to continue in that.
I believe my brand is about the people, which starts with me and the people who work for me. I’m super proud of what I’ve built and proud of the people who have helped me build this business and service.
My business is, in a nutshell, is exterior cleaning services. Both for residential and commercial clients, I perform window cleaning, pressure washing concrete, roof cleaning, siding and brick cleaning, and gutter cleaning. For my commercial clients, in addition to the previously stated services, I do dumpster pad cleaning, post construction clean up, and grease cleanup.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I really hope I can empower the next generation of service based entrepreneurs in Texas. It’s not an easy path, but it can be very fun when you have the right people.
