Hidden Gems: Meet Zuly Martinez of VizionHaus Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zuly Martinez.

Hi Zuly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m the youngest of four, raised by a single mother after immigrating from Mexico. Higher education felt like a luxury that wasn’t in the cards for me, so I figured out another way forward.

My first job was as a part-time receptionist at a dog grooming shop. When the owner expanded and opened a photography studio, I became the lead photographer and I fell in love with it. But I needed full-time income to help my family, so I eventually landed at Amazon, where I spent seven years giving everything I had. Photography faded into the background. So did everything else. By the end, I was in full burnout my schedule left no room for life outside of work, especially during the holidays.

In April 2025, I took a month off with one goal: find something with more flexibility. I searched for hours every day and couldn’t find anything that felt right. I had nearly given up, I was less than a week from returning to Amazon when an idea hit me in the middle of the night. Real estate photography. I went down a rabbit hole and didn’t come up for air until sunrise, by which point I had a plan, a business name, and a logo.

Within four months I had quit my job, formed an LLC, taught myself editing, passed my Part 107 drone certification, and started networking. VizionHaus Productions was open for business.

I’m still learning every day, new editing techniques, new skills, new ways to serve my clients better. But that one sleepless night changed everything, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road hasn’t always been smooth and I wish I could say the hardest part was passing my drone certification, but that would be the easy answer.

The real challenge has been quieting the voice of self-doubt. When you’re building something from the ground up, there’s no guaranteed paycheck, no roadmap, no one telling you you’re doing it right. That lack of security can be loud.
What I’ve learned is that doubt shows up when the stakes are real, it means you’re doing something that matters. Giving yourself permission to be a beginner and moving forward anyway is what makes the difference. That mindset has been the foundation of everything VizionHaus has grown into.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
VizionHaus Productions started as a real estate photography and drone services company but a pattern I kept seeing while networking with Realtors led it to grow into something more. Agent after agent mentioned the same struggle: not enough time to post consistently on social media, or simply not knowing how to navigate it effectively. In today’s market, an invisible business is an unsuccessful one, so I built a solution.

At VizionHaus, ‘Your Vision Accomplished’ isn’t just a tagline, it’s the standard. I photograph and film the properties, capture professional photos and videos of the agents themselves, craft the content, and publish it at the times their audiences are most active. My clients don’t have to think about it, they just show up and their brand does the rest.
What sets me apart is the completeness of what I offer. Most photographers hand you a gallery and walk away. I stay invested in how that content actually performs and reaches people. That full-circle approach from the initial shoot to a published post, is what I’m most proud of.

And while real estate is my specialty, VizionHaus is for any small business owner who has a vision but not the bandwidth to share it. That’s really the heart of the brand: everyone has a vision, I’m here to accomplish it.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Family comes first, always. They are my biggest supporters, cheering me on, believing in me even when I struggle to believe in myself. I don’t take that for granted for a single second.

Helping others brings me a deep sense of purpose. I’ve always believed that generosity creates a domino effect, when you give without expecting anything in return, that positivity ripples outward in ways you can’t always see. The world can never have too much of that.

And then there’s video games, my happy place since childhood. Growing up, I was the little sibling with the controller that wasn’t plugged in, watching my older brothers play and soaking up every second of it. Pokemon X&Y, Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter… the list goes on. Gaming has always been a source of joy and nostalgia for me, and that’s never going away. Big time gamer for life.
