Today we’d like to introduce you to Kennedi Brown.
Hi Kennedi, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my business in May 2020 and I wanted to have a business in a field that is not very well common so, I started a customization business where I make custom hoodies, sweatshirts, masks, etc. I got to where I am today by reaching out to other local businesses and letting them know what I do and just doing things for them and providing them with great product and service they told their friends about me and my business continued to grow from there.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road along the way. Some of my struggles were getting my name out there, continuing to bring new additions to my business. Overall my struggle was mostly getting my name out there.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I started my business when I was 16 years old and am now 17. I specialize in making custom shirts, shadow boxes, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and many other things. I’m known for making affordable custom clothing. I think me being able to finish orders in a good amount of time sets me apart from each other, I am able to complete orders in a timely manner, and that I am able to maintain a good line of communication with my customers also sets me apart. I am most proud that I was able to build my business up and make it known at the age of 16. I have a black-owned teenage owned business and I offer affordable custom clothing in a timely manner.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan on continuing to build my brand throughout the rest of my senior year and throughout college.
