Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Hutchinson.
Hi Aaron, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I had a rough beginning being homeless at 17 and going into the Marine Corps. Getting out of the military I knew I wanted a family and would need to work hard to be able to offer a women that kind of life. After meeting the women of my dreams I got a lucky break and started out at a medium size financial firm in Plano Texas as an insurance agent. I worked to get my liscenses and be able to manage the larger deals coming into the firm. At this point I was doing pretty much everything from insurance investments to assets under management with the firm. I got promoted and moved my way from the Florida territory to the North California, South California territories and then back to the home base of Plano Texas. I noticed along the way that a lot of the things the firm had been promising its clients were falling through the cracks. I had a good colleague and friend at the company and at a Top Producer meeting in Ireland we decided to open our own firm with a premise on being able to follow through with what we promise and be a one stop shop for pre retires and retires. Being able to accommodate most things that would come up during that time frame. We are now a BBB A rated Company with several million dollars under management.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No not smooth at all. A rollercoaster ride I would call it. The first couple years of opening the firm were some very dark days. Marketing for new clients turned out to be a very difficult thing. Raising a family of two children while having that stress was at times challenging.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a Wealth Management Firm. We specialize in helping pre retirees and retirees make sure that they can retire and stay retired. We do portfolio management, income planning, estate planning, insurance and Medicare.
